Hostal Muntaner

It's simple, but comfort. The bathroom need some small maintaining, but nothing harm. The place is well located. If you want a breeze to get in and out of, this is a good place, but don't expect an Hotel (this is a Hostal). They respond messages very fast. We were very well received by Ali.

We had a super stay, excellent price, all was spotless clean, we had a large double bed, full ensuite bathroom with shower gel and hand soap, a quaint little balcony, efficient air con. There is a pleasant communal room with a fridge. There is a lift and the hostal was very quiet.|The staff and manager could not do enough to make us happy. They welcomed us with a smile, helped us without fuss when we lost our room key, let us leave our luggage safely on the last day, and were full of useful information. |Thank you very much!

I booked Hostal Muntaner through Agoda and received an email saying the payment hadn’t gone through. When I called, the receptionist told me it was fine and that I could pay directly at the hotel. That already seemed unusual, but I went ahead with my trip. Upon arrival, the receptionist demanded €220 — much higher than the amount listed in my booking. When I questioned the difference and said I would check with Agoda, he became rude, angry, and immediately canceled my reservation on the spot. This place feels like a complete scam. Be very careful if you consider staying here.

I only gave one star because I couldn't give none... Dirty rooms and bathrooms. One toilet for 5-6 rooms... Annoying noises day and night. Loud neighbourhood. Hostel crew used our restrooms and fridge.. No fresh towels almost for a whole week. Friendly night crew, well located - but that's all...

Our room was super fine! 2 double beds and a small balcony and our own bath and toilet. The staff was really helpfull and sweet. The wifi was not so good in our room but fine in the hall and the 'livingroom'. All in all we were super pleased and would definately come back!!!

This place has paper thin walls and you can hear everything from the other rooms, or maybe it was just the room we were in.||The room itself was good but both nights we stayed it was impossible to sleep due to families staying in the hostel talking,singing and screaming, even at 2am !!||The first person we met upon check in was great and very helpful however the other 2 staff members weren't helpful at all. Our luggage had gone missing at the airport and on the second day, we asked to ring the airport in the morning - only to be told no, it's a public holiday, no one works today, go there yourself and sort it out, which was 30 minutes drive away.||Upon checking out I complained again to the woman at reception about the noise all night long and being unable to sleep. She said yes sorry about that and I told her I wasn't happy and would post a review on TripAdvisor about our experience.

Budget-friendly hostel in a great central location. Literally on top of a supermarket. We stayed in a family room with ensuite and balcony (and air-con - essential), you can go even cheaper with shared facilities. Free WiFi. Most attractions are walkable from here, for the rest there's a Metro station around the block. Great restaurant Paco Meralgo is just a few doors away.

Fortunately, I could book a relatively nice room (comparing to other hostels), for an absolutely acceptable price. Actually, it was more cheaper than other hostels, so I was lucky.|It was good enough not to complain about anything - except one thing: some noise, coming from the corridor, in front of my room. But if you are not there during the daytime, it is not annoying, if you use your accomodation, only for sleeping (late night was not that loud).|All in all, I would say I can reccommend this accomodation to anyone, who does not spend too much time there and just need a bed to stay somewhere.
