Hostal Naira La Paz

Stayed here for 1 night as part of an Exoticca tour. ||My room was absolutely lovely, really clean and comfortable. Please don't be put off by the word "hostal".||Dropped a star as it was really noisy with my room opening to the balcony above the restaurant. My shower head sprayed everywhere which made washing my hair a little hard work. The shower had a window out to other rooms!||Unfortunately due to an early start I didn't get a proper breakfast, but the take away one was ok. ||Staff seemed lovely too. ||Apparently it's close to lots of key places in La Paz, but due to a late arrival and the early departure I didn't get to experience it.

We really enjoyed our stay here in La Paz. The staff are excellent. The rooms were great, the linen and towels were high quality and clean/ no stains. The rooms were really clean. Our room was tended to every day. If you get cold in the night a fan heater can be requested at reception. I wish all hotels were this great on my trip. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay in La Paz

-16.496796°, -68.137247° Hostal Naira is centrally located in La Paz, very close to the Witches' Market, Basilica of San Francisco, Plaza San Francisco and cable car stations. This makes it ideal for exploring the city. Opposite the Basilica, this authentic charming and attractive colonial architecture offers rooms around two courtyards with connections between in the basement. The reception is in the basement. Beware of the stairs. The upper floors can only be reached by stairs and the hotel has no lift, but porters are available. Laundry service and luggage storage is also available. Good breakfast is in the café with freshly prepared options.||In April 2025, our clean basic twin bedroom 211 (2F) overlooked the street above the café towards the basilica. Traffic noise is not the problem, but street vendors use automated repetitive voice advertising, which can be very annoying. We closed the balcony doors to keep the noise out, but also the fresh air. Ask for a room around the second courtyard. The twin room has a good hot shower, but Wi-Fi reception was poor with multiple disconnections and tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms were lacking. Staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. ||Hostal Naira is a charming colonial hostal in the heart of La Paz. Recommended.

What a great little hotel in a great location. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Laundry returned the same day all for a very reasonable price ( each item had a small coloured stitch put in for identification so no worries about lost clothes) . The rooms were decorated in a boutique style, the beds and pillows very comfy. Our room was located on the ground floor in the inner courtyard and was very quiet. No safe in the room but I believe the reception had safety boxes. Great shower and lots of hot water. We had a v early flight and left at 2.30am- the staff gave us a great breakfast box without requesting. Highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is well located. The personal in charge has been really kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and you are offered extra blankets or a heater if you need them. The breakfast is included. It was abundant, natural and healthy. The coffee was really tasty! I will definitely come back in my next visit.

Location is excellent, right by the church and in the thick of it! The rooms were good. Good showers. Good WiFi. Comfy beds. Food is decent. Breakfast buffet is refilled slowly so you might have to wait because it takes time for the food to come out once its empty again.

Room size: very good for 2 people Bathroom: small, but functional Bed: very comfortable Cleanliness: very clean Breakfast: was included. sub-par. very limited. not great. NOISE: the hotel has a closed-in courtyard, the sounds echo a lot, the staff is very loud late into the night, and at very early hours. Location: very good location. within walking distance to everything you need.

A high quality 3 star hotel I'd say. The space is beautiful, service is absolutely excellent--the staff were VERY polite and helpful. The beds and pillows could be more comfortable, but are more than adequate, as are the rooms. I was very happy with my stay overall
