Hostal Patria

We know Madrid very well. This is the first time we have stayed here and the truth is that it is very good. |I was delighted with the treatment of the staff. The cleanliness is renovated, it has a good coffee machine and a good cleaning service.| And above all, it feels safe everywhere. The ladies who work here are wonderful. So we recommend it.

Very safe for familias with nice views of Puerta del Sol square. Very Well air conditioned.Very good bedding. All the most important things in the cita close by to see.Royal palace and cathedral a few meters away. The re are many bars nearbly.

I've been there many times. It's always my first option when I visit Madrid. The service is quite excellent and the rooms are comfortable. For the ones that are visiting the center of Madrid is a great option for their location and their access to subways just 5 minutes walking :)

DO NOT STAY HERE! This Hostal is unsafe for women. On the final night of my stay, the concierge sent me an unsolicited sexual image via WhatsApp. He had previously checked me in and knew I was staying alone. After sending the explicit image he then tried to deny it and said it was meant for the “cleaning lady”. This interaction happened at 22:00. He also told me to relax and that I was overreacting to what is clearly a violation of my safety. His messages continued to be extremely unprofessional. I ended up leaving the Hostal and moving to a new hotel as I did not feel safe spending the night there. ||Hostal Patria is now refusing to cooperate in resolving this issue. This Hostal should not be in business.

Please avoid this hotel if you are a woman traveling alone. I stayed at Hostal Patria in October and have never had such a horrible experience. On the final night of my stay the concierge sent me an unwanted graphic image on WhatsApp. I felt violated and unsafe as he knew I was traveling alone. I left immediately and found another hotel to stay at. His messages to me have been aggressive and this unprofessional behaviour is also evident in how he replies to other negative reviews. I have not received any sort of resolution. I am making this review to warn other women - do not stay here!

It was a great experience the location is great and the cleanness is great and it is safe and Angelo is a helpful and great person so I recommand it to every one and if I came again to madrid diffently I will stay in this hostal because it is excellent in all the sides

Great place to stay. I've been using this place for years and it's the best. Ángel the owner is fantastic. It's smack downtown, so you can come and go throughout the day. I always come here when I'm in Madrid and always will. Ángel is always available.
