my favorite part of the hotel was the common areas. and the staff was friendly Disliked : the room did not look like what I saw in the pictures, the window had no view anywhere and had no natural light the table lamp was broken and I saw a stain on my sheets. Those little details disappointed me since I stayed in this place because it looked like a historic building and for less money I had the option of staying in an entire apartment in this one a short distance from this hotel. Another issue was that on my floor other passengers ran through the corridors, made noise and nobody said anything to them. but I guess I can't entirely blame the hotel for this

We spent 4 nights at Hotel Londres. Santiago has several modern areas with major hotels but we chose Londres because it was in the older part of Santiago and had . The hotel is set in a pretty cobbled square. that it shares with a pleasant cafe/bar. The hotel is rather "quaint" and and reminded us of the many older European hotels. Some maintenance was needed e.g. cracked tiles etc. Our room was large and had a shower/bath ensemble. The beds were comfortable and clean. Plenty of power sockets for computers etc. There was a small TV, but the hotel internet was only accessible form the main lounge area. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful though a little disorganised.||The brekfast provided was minimal [similar to that taken by most Chileans?]. One kind of cereal, yoghurt, bread, cheese, jam, orange juice and coffee.||The hotel is 1 block from the main road and its easy to get buses and the metro from The University of Chile stop. Tour operators like Touristik pick up from the hotel.||We had a great time here.

This is more of a hostel than a hotel. It is a beautiful old building but in need of some restoration. The staff is very friendly and the premises are kept neat and clean. The wi-fi was not always reliable. A good stay if you travel on a budget.

Positiv: Very Central in Santiago. Storage room free - I was 5 days away and my main baggage was stored from outside it looks nice old||||Negativ: Extremely dilapidated. Very noisy inside and outside (there is a tv always on in the lobby and there are always people outside shouting and talking up to 3.00 A.M.). Bathroom is from a parallel universe, very dirty and full of mould. Used by several people ( sharing bathroom ) Towels, bedsheet etc are very old and d I r t Y. Very dirty in general. No facilities at all. Breakfast less than basis. Slice of stale cheese, a cup of coffee and stale bread. My first room had no window and outside 30 Celsius. Receiption: Its only 1 night. 2Nd stay, may room was given to other people, why you arrived so late was the question ? I arrived 9.30 P.M. better pay 10-15 $ more, there are much better options ins Santiago

This is one of the hotel that host most of the volunteers working with the English Opens Doors program that teaches English in public schools in Chile. So many other people too visit the hotel. It's a calm place to spend a night with delicious meals.

I was in this Hotel just two days ago. The pictures they show about the Hotel at their website have a lot of photoshop. I'm very disappointed about the place. The service is terrible. The TV didn't work. The shower tap water was broken. The soap is too cheap for a "3 stars hotel". No shampoo either. Nothing to drink. Somebody has to go to the near convenient store. ( But the place around is too dangerous). If somebody from the hotel brings a bottle of water for you, will charge you double. If you claim over the following day, nobody knows about it, therefore your money gone. The most terrible is the breakfast they are offering: No eggs, no fruits, no orange juice; Just cheap corn flakes cereal and kumis in a very cheap containers from the market, or coffe to make yourself. Honestly I don't know how the Chilean authorities does rate hotels, but definitely this place is too horrible for a 3 stars hotel. I'm definitely not never ever recommend this place. My name Is Frank Silval as my passport shows.

I chose this cheap hostel for the location on the pleasant Calle Londres, within easy reach of all central sights in Santiago. In that respect it was exactly what I wanted. ||||All that you can say about the rest is that it was cheap. ||||Room: windowless, not particularly clean. Bedside lamp gave off a worrying small of burning plastic which meant I decided not to use it and had to use a mini torch to find my way to the door in the dark. ||||Shared bathroom cleaned once a day and if after that someone walked muddy shoes over the floor or the bin was overflowing with used toilet paper, it was tough luck until the next day. Also no proper lock, just a loop of material to hold the door closed. ||||Breakfast: instant coffee, bread rolls, orange squash. ||||Due to the location, I think it's ok for one night to get the most of your time in Santiago and provided you just want to grab some sleep there and leave, but the rooms are completely soulless and quite grubby. Most guests are South American, I don't know if the staff speak English.

You think it is going to be a trip that you do not expend so much money. You're wrong. First of all, they sell you a room. You pay. Than the answer: "Oh, I did not see, I is already reserved...". And you paid for a nightmare. The breakfast is not in the same hotel, you've gotta walk across the street. Terrible choice to go there!
