Hostal Poblenou

Lovely little place with a lot of character. Situated in a historic building, Hostal Poblenou offers great breakfasts (try the avocado toast!), a warm welcome, beach towels and even a cat! The place is close to the beach, which is great, and a lot more quiet than the center. With public transport you can get into town very easily.

The Hostal is a very Little and very clean B&B We were welcomed even it was after 9pm and had a good check in with first instructions. It’s close by the beach and many pubs and restaurants are around also the metro is only 15min by food We definitely coming again

Perfect place to experience the less crowded part of Barcelona ! Beach just a couple of steps ... lots of nice restaurants, bars. Just ideal for solo travelers.

We loved this place! Clean, simple, attractive, comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast with lovely outdoor spaces. But the best aspect was the location. The neighborhood was within easy subway access to tourist sites and the rest of Barcelona, but was off the beaten path. Near to the oceanside. Relaxed, accessible ramblas/boulevard with many area bars and restaurants and outdoor dining areas. This was the best part of our visit to Barcelona.

This was a quaint and charming gem. Fabulous hearty breakfast with vegan options too. I had the best avocado toast there. There was a lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy breakfast or tea and coffee most of the day. My room had high ceilings and a very comfy bed. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in pointing out things to do and how to get there. The neighborhood was great too. Tons of restaurants and shops and nice to see somewhere aside from or in addition to Las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter. I would stay there again for sure!

In love with this place. So much better than expected. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are gorgeous, authentic BCN style, very quiet, and super close to the beach. The terrace is lovely as well, you can enjoy the breakfast which is also amazing, freshly prepared and with a variety of options to choose from. Would definitely come back here and thank you so much for having us.

This was a true gem. A very Charming place in a great location slightly off the tourist path with a really cool vibe. The breakfasts were fantastic including the vegan options. The staff was super helpful, especially Nana, in terms of carrying my luggage up the steps, suggesting places to eat and things to do and accommodating special requests like adding extra towels and bedding for an additional unexpected guest. I much preferred this bed and breakfast to staying in a large generic chain hotel. I would definitely stay again on my next visit to Barcelona

Welcoming hostal, 3-minute walk from the beach. Very friendly owners who made us feel right at home. Large airy room with a double bed and extra bed for our son. Lots of good storage. We had an internal room overlooking the terrace, which would be nice in warmer weather. Delicious freshly made breakfast that you order one day in advance. Lost of choice: pancakes, avocado on toast, smoothies, eggs and bacon etc. The area makes you feel like you are Spanish and not a tourist. Lots of great bars, restaurants and shops right on your doorstep. A great alternative to the city centre and easy to reach by bus or metro. We'll be back!
