I stayed at Hostal Poblenou for 5 nights and it was one of my favorite experiences! The location right in the heart of the neighborhood, 5 minute walk from the beach, and just a few steps away from the busy la rambla where there’s a ton of cafes, restaurants, and ice cream shops. I had a double room and the rooms are true to the pictures online and so cutely decorated! The bed was very comfortable and the room comes with air conditioning. The staff is amazing! They are so welcoming, helpful, and accommodative. They communicate with you before you arrive (and before the deadline to submit your breakfast order) and will help you if you get lost on the way to check in. They greet you with a smile every time you enter the door and they do a great job of keeping the hostel clean and inviting. I would highly recommend adding breakfast to your stay. You get to pick what you want the night before and it’s prepared for you while sit and enjoy the view on the beautiful terrace or breakfast room. The quality and amount is well worth the cost (€15)! The only complaint I had is that I didn’t stay in Barcelona longer to be able to stay at Hostal Poblenou! It will be my go-to place whenever I visit Barcelona. Thank you so much for making me feel welcomed and taken care of!

What a wonderful b&b. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, and all the staff were so kind and friendly. They had my room ready early and they also prepared breakfast for me early on my last day so that I could get to the airport. Breakfast was lovely. I’m vegetarian and the hummus and avocado is lovely. The room was beautiful with a lovely little terrace. It was nice to just sit and watch the world go by.

Had a relaxing 4-night stay in a gorgeous room and delightful breakfast. Stayed in room 6 with a view of the terrace. There’s major road construction on the street, but it wasn’t noisy in my room. Interestingly, the gaps between the sliding doors to the washroom had more sound travel from other guests’ room, but it wasn’t bothersome. Bed was soft and I had to switch sides so I wouldn’t sink into the mattress. They provide shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. Bring conditioner and lotion if you need it. Free tea and coffee until 8pm. There’s also free filtered water at the reception desk. There are also beach towels, baskets, and reading material you can take to the beach. Recommended breakfast: avocado toast, berry crepe (on the sweet side with the caramel sauce) They’re very sweet and will make a take out breakfast for you if you’re going to the airport. I don’t recommend the smoothies for take out as they don’t have a proper lid for it. You can make a sandwich out of the scrambled eggs if you don’t want the ham & cheese option. Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in Barcelona!

Authentic hostal in the new hotspot quarter of Barcelona, next to the Ramblas of Poble Nou. But next to the great amenities, the charming rooms and building itself, especially the personell makes it a warm home for your stay in Barcelona. Thank you Anna and your Colleagues for a warm and professional hospitality. Makes all the difference! Best experience so far off all my stays in Barcelona. Keep it up.

I had the most wonderful stay at Hostal Poblenou this past week. The staff are not only incredibly helpful, but incredibly friendly. I felt like I was staying at a friend’s house - a friend who is an excellent host. I particularly appreciated chatting with Agnes the morning of my flight home. |The rooms are clean and modern. I opted for the breakfast in the morning, and it was always delicious and timely. I should be so lucky to stay here again.|Thank you Hostal Poblenou for all of your hospitality and kindness!

Loved it from start to end. The most friendly service ever, great rooms and special order luxury breakfast at the lovely terrace. I can REALLY recommend this jem. A bit fare from the metro but not a problem. Very close to the beach - and the provided beach towels, beach bag and parasol is such a great asset.

We got there after an overnight flight and found out we have two separate beds. This is not an issue but the " private" bathroom is across a hallway. So be aware. The staff are very accommodating and polite. The business owner should have been clear about the major construction going on right by our window. After inhaling some concrete and not being able to sleep due to the noise, we moved to another room. The bed was two twin frames pushed together and barely held up by a totally old fitted sheet that kept coming apart while the twin beds separated while sleeping. These aside, we had a terrible odor coming into our room. It's a systemic issue with rain and water levels in the sewer system. Even though we had all the plumbing sealed, the scent lingured. Lovely staff and good food, but the business owner should know better!
