Hostal Pochón

Great personal hostel! It is located a bit out of the center, but the distance is no more than 10 minutes of walking to come to the main attractions. As others have said it is quite an old hostel, and especially the showers aren't the best. The beds are great though, breakfast is amazing. When I was there there were almost no guests but the few of us had a great time with the volunteers. Amazing help from the staff when my night shuttle didn't show up. Have someone knowing Spanish book for you.

Vibe is nice and everyone seems to have a lot of trust, leaving their phones around and rooms unlocked etc. The place just kind of feels really dirty. The corners of the rooms are stained, the bathrooms permanently smell bad. The toilets and showers have very little privacy. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast is good, but not a buffet. The location is great, super close to the center. Staff is friendly

Very friendly and quiet hostel. Have everything you need, and also computers. Good price and a decent location. Nice courtyard/lounge to hang out in The staff where mostly volunteers and a very friendly gang. They cooked up a lovely brekkie as well.

I had to write a review for this place because I found it to be so good. My wife and I along with everyone else staying here at the time, all have the same opinion on hostal Pochon. It is simply great value for money. The location is fantastic the beds are comfortable and the place is clean. The breakfast is the best we've received so far on our trip and the TV in the lounge has Netflix!! What more do you want! I dropped a substantial amount of money out of my pocket after a heavy night out (a bit worse for wear) and in the midst of panic the next morning, convinced I was down a lot of money, my wife arrived up to the room to tell me the cleaners had found it and handed it in. I don't care where you're from, but in my eyes this sort of honesty speaks volumes of a place and everyone here has been mightely impressed by Hostal Pochon. Would highly recommend this place.

We had a private room and had only booked one night, but we really liked the vibe in this hostel and wanted to stay longer. The staff spoke english and were super helpful, especially with securing transporting and giving ideas of what to see around the town.

Very very nice hostel... Beautiful, clean, nice people working in this place. Breakfast is amazing:) Good for meeting new people.. the only thing that bothered me was no weed smoking allow over there.. great hostel.

Awesome hostel! Great atmosphere, great people. Nice courtyard to hang out and meet other travellers. Very good breakfast included.

A "24 hour reception" is nothing but a lie. I came in 1am and banged for 25 minutes, before A GUEST had to open the door to say she didn't know where the staff was. Had to look for a different hostel. Not recommended.
