Hostal Pons

We stayed 2 nights here and loved it! Really friendly staff and in a great location. We were in a private bedroom with a shared bathroom. Everything was spotless. We had a small room off our bedroom with a sink and mirror which was really useful. Room was really spacious and had loads of wardrobe space for our belongings. Would stay again if we are ever in Palma again- thank you!

Everything is very good, very clean, a perfect welcome. Too bad there is no storage for clothes in the rooms and not having been warned for the work. But the whole is very satisfactory, I can only recommend!

This basic hostel is spotlessly clean, in a great location with charming staff. We had a room with a private bathroom as we do not like to share a bathroom. It is good for 1 or 2 nights, not sure that I would want to stay any longer as it really is very basic but if you are a budget traveller it is perfect. The wifi is good and there are lots of public areas where you can sit with your laptop or book. There are lots of little bars and cafes nearby and they will store your luggage for you. I would recommend.

The photos provided are completely fake, showing rooms that don't exist. When I pointed this out to the owner, he replied that the pictures on Booking were of the shared double room — which is ridiculous, since the photo clearly shows a single bed and a door leading to a private bathroom. I paid an absurd amount for a “superior” room, only to end up in a tiny space with a bathroom barely separated by a shower curtain pretending to be a door, and a small window. I got sick and needed to stay five extra hours in the accommodation before my flight, and yet they charged me for a full extra night (including the Booking.com commission), even though I had paid directly at reception. A perfect example of someone who owns a beautiful house in an amazing location and uses that to deceive and exploit guests. Avoid this place at all costs.

I came here specifically to do yoga at the highly recommended, amazing Sadhana Works centre just a minute's walk away. Hostal Pons has the most perfect location for that and I was able to create my own retreat at Sadhana, with Hostal Pons as the perfect, simple and quite peaceful accommodation next door. The family home is very beautiful and renovations are underway. As a yoga and meditation practitioner, beautiful, clean simplicity is all that's important. So Hostal Pons is absolutely perfect and host Gérard is very kind and helpful. 🙏🏼🥰

The only positive aspects are Victoria's service and the cleanliness of the “hostal”. |Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it because it only has the basics: I stayed at a tiny single room with a high ceiling, a tiny high window that's impossible to open, no TV, a shared, plain bathroom with no bath mat. Ihad to ask for a towel, there are four hangers stuck to the wall, and a mosaic floor. It’s more like a prison than a hotel!!! |And 15-20 minutes from the center... I think it's one of my worst stays in Europe. And the price isn't low!!!!!

The hostel is in an excellent location, conveniently close to the city center and within walking distance of everything we visited. Victoria was an exceptional host, helpful and welcoming, offering great hospitality. We booked a queen room with a private bathroom and another queen room with a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom was clean and comfortable to use, while the rooms were cozy. The only minor issue was a broken heater on one night, but Victoria assured us it would be fixed the following day. Apart from that, the place was lovely. Highly recommended for an affordable stay in Mallorca!

It’s an absolutely beautiful hotel but the shared bathroom situation is weird. There is tons of space in the hotel and I respect the authenticity of maintaining historical spaces, but I booked the tiny room next to the bathroom and all night long people were in and out, slamming doors and leaving puddles outside the bathroom. The staff was nice (female yes, male always seemed annoyed) and the wet floor + one towel made for some uncomfortable situations.
