Prisamata Hostel is such a gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the place has a really chill vibe. Everything is spotless, and the design is cozy without being over the top. The kitchen is absolutely lovely—bright, clean, and perfect for cooking or hanging out. Great spot to meet people or just unwind.

I stayed at Prisamata for a few nights while in Salta and had a great experience. The hostel is lovely, the shared patios and kitchen are the perfect place to chat with other guests or just relax. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and as a plus the hostel is in a great location. Definitely recommend it!

I stayed at this hostel for almost three weeks and it became like a home for me. So many of my memories of Argentina are attached to this hostel. I made many good friends (especially the amazing staff, like Pablo and Anto). The location, the rooms, the beautiful courtyard, everything is just how I'd like to see in a great hostel.

Very poor experience here. I never leave bad reviews but on this occasion I had to share. One lady in my dorm kept asking me for my belongings , she asked for my socks (which I gave ) then she asked for a pair of my knickers. She asked me for my snacks I had in my bag. For the kind of my soul I went out to a shop and bought her fresh knickers and socks. I then came back to find my bag open, she was looking for a charger that could fit her phone. Although there were lockers in the room I did not feel safe, as when I opened my locker she asked me for more things. I am travelling and I need my things so I felt bad saying no to her, but I said no as I had already bought her fresh essentials! I think they need to be careful which kind of people they host/ or give free host to, as not pleasant for the others in the room. I am a kind person and don’t like seeing people suffering and I don’t like saying no but ofcourse I am a traveler on a budget … don’t want to be put in that situation! Trotamumdos I went after was a breath of fresh air! Sorry Prisamata but don’t make your guests feel unsafe

I am honestly very surprised about the good reviews. The only reason I booked this hostel was that my flight arrived so late so I needed a hostel with a 24hs reception. So I appreciate that. The lady welcomed me with a friendly attitude. The 6 people dorm looked so different from the pics on hostelworld, the bedding they use was definitely not washed because it had hair on it. The upper bunk bed was full of dust, the bed sheet was so thin that it was so worn out over the years. No air in the room. Seeing how much hygiene this place lacks, I couldn't sleep at all because if they don't even wash the bedding they might as well have bed bugs. I actually had an intense rash few days after staying here so who knows...I said I wanted to change my room or get a refund as I could not stay there. The bathroom was also falling apart, they had a towel that had a hole on it. The lady woke up her other colleague who was understandably not happy, but neither was I after 15 hours of flight. He refused to give me the refund, and insisted on asking for extra 1000 pesos If I wanted to change my room. Later he also confessed that they don't wash the bedding (the duvet kinda blanket) every day! After a lengthy conversation, he agreed to give me half of my money back (with the attitude of telling her colleague in Spanish "give her the money so she leaves"). I have been travelling for 12 years, worked at hostels myself, there is a lovely traveller's culture among people who stay in hostels, and unfortunately this behavior doesn't belong there. I hope this person reflects on his behavior and treats the guests better. Edit: to the reply of the premises Unfortunately asking for basic hygiene is not considered OCD. If you asked to see the proof, we could have examined the bed together but you did not. No, I did not want a single room, if I wanted I would have booked so. I love hostel culture, but not the one you foster unfortunately. Also I checked the other poor reviews, and it is only sad to see the premises replies by attacking people instead of taking reviews for consideration which already says so much about your attitude. Anyone who is reading this can see that I leave reviews very frequently and I leave very positive reviews when I see the merit, so I am not here to defame anyone for no reason. Good luck to you with everything.

By far the worst hostel i have stayed in in Argentina. The room was filthy, hair all over the bedsheets, very dark and smelled of mold. No social activities whatsoever. My laundry came back stained, still had to pay for the service. During my stay many people left the hostel as it was filthy and not social. Trotamundo seems to be a good alternative. Don‘t come here!

This hostel is probably great for young people. Its lively and easy to make friends and party. However as a couple and slightly older group of people who have been travelling around latin america in hostels, we struggled with this hostel particularly, despite the large room, it was very dark and humid and the bathroom/shower were damp and in very small cupboard-like space, the room smelling of cigarettes and loud people just outside the door until late in the night. The stafff was lovely and friendly and the hostel does look quite cute when you walk in, plants everywhere and cute hammock area etc. The kitchen area is big but was not super practical for cooking as busy with people doing drinking games and the tools for cooking were rusty. A shame that after a few hours you already feel like you need to escape outside and see sunlight and not be in a smelly humid space. We did 2 nights and it was too much for us unfortunately but i would recommend for young people as it had a social and fun vibe.

Yelp
This is a great hostel. Social, friendly, clean and lots of shared spaces that encourage mixing with other backpackers. If you have a group of four you can book in a private room and the rooms are very large. For some reason there are australian power plugs in some of the rooms which was a nice surprise. The people who run the place live here too and are young and know good food/going out spots and are just generally cool to chat to. They play really good music as well! The toilets are clean and the showers are in separate bathrooms like a real home which is a serious backpacker luxury. Big kitchen, bar, a wood oven out the back (haven't seen it used yet but its there...) and hammocks. Highly recommend.
