Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We paid for a room with a sea view but were given one where half the view was blocked by other apartments, which felt dishonest. Additionally, the TV barely worked, and the Internet was unreliable. One of the waiters was badly-mannered (had a beard and acted as if he owned the place), though the rest of the staff were wonderful, and the view from the café/restaurant was beautiful. Despite this, we won’t be staying here again.

We only went to the restaurant and bar, so I'm not commenting on the rooms. The location is amazing and the staff is incredibly friendly and warm, as well as professional and efficient. They mainly make tapas and panini (not cooked food), but we had dinner there twice with tapas and desserts as it's a very nice chilled place to be at sunset. The food is nice and the best value for money we had over the 9 days we spent in Formentera.

We have been coming to Formentera for 20 years and completely overlooked this place. Amazing views, but both nights we sat inside, it’s a great atmosphere. We had prawns, sea bass and a couple of glasses of the house red and white . All perfect. And followed by lovely traditional deserts. Highly recommend. We came twice in one week! Fantastic service.

We booked the sea view room, what a stunning view, it is the view you dream of when thinking about the Mediterranean, simply fantastic. The rooms are basic but this is a hostel, and not a hotel. The rooms are a good standard and very clean. The bathroom is small with a very small shower cabinet. The staff are fantastic, they make you feel very welcome. Make sure you have breakfast in the café, it is an absolute pleasure to sit and look over the crystal clear waters, good food and great staff. There is a restaurant adjoining the accommodation, lovely food again with a stunning view. The hostal is in Es Calo which is a small village with a few restaurants and a small supermarket. Es Calo is situated at the opposite end of the island to the ferry port, but, by car is only a 10 minute trip away. The beaches around Es Calo are lovely but I recommend you hire some transport (car or scooter) as you need to visit the other beaches of Playa Migjorn. Overall I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

This is a hostel, and not a hotel. Therefore the standard of the romos is a lot more simple tan you would expect from a hotel.||||However, it has the basics. Good beds. A large warderobe, and a we had a great balcony with sea view. The room also had air conditioning, which is necesary in the summer.||||The bathroom is very small, and the shower cabinet is so small that a "large" person would have difficulty making proper use of the shower.||||Also, there was only one bedside table and reading light.||||So..... why should you visit Hostal Can Rafaelet?||||The location is great: with excellent views. You have nice rocky "calas" right next to the hostel. Also, with a car or a moped, you are only 5 minutes away from the sandy beaches on the Migjorn side of the island.||||Breakfast is not included, but I stil recommend to eat breakfast on the terrace of the bar downstairs. A great way to start the day.||||The restaurant which is located in the same building is also OK, although not top notch cuisine. I would say it is rather pricey for what you get, but it is very convenient, and the views are nice.||||This hostel is usually booked by regulars from year to year, so be early if you want to get a room in the high season.||||They also have apartments.

We usually have tapas or a drink on the terrace which is open to the public also if you don't stay in their hotel. It's a simple traditional Spanish bar which is nice away from all Italians upscale places that invaded Formentera in the last decades, here you still feel the real Formentera mood away from trends. The location is just pure magic in front of "Es Calo" fisherman spot and overlooking ses platjetas ... Prices are fair and how they are across most Spanish mainland...

We came to have breakfast at the cafeteria, we asked for 2 big glasses of water and they brought a bottle cause they could only offer small glasses if you want more you have to pay for it. We sent it back and then they brought the wrong breakfast. When we complained the runner asked us if we had woken up on the wrong side of the bed and told us to chill. Super rude and very expensive. Cool view tho.
