A fabulous central place to stay in Otavalo. The room was very quiet and has blockout blinds, and breakfasts were fabulous, the internal aspects and garden area were lovely, and the staff was really pleasant and helpful.
The location is walking distance to many good restaurants, and local landmarks, and it was easy and super cheap to take buses to the nearby towns.

Adorable hostal, with courtyard, chair hammocks, and flower-filled outdoor garden, and spacious rooms. Breakfast included, and served by friendly, personable staff. All staff were attentive, and eager to converse, in addition to giving recommendations when asked.

A lovely hotel with joyful, friendly, helpful and caring staff with green surroundings. It’s so nice to be in a garden in the middle of the city. |You can also eat breakfast in the garden or on a terrace if you wish to do so. |Paolina speaks very good English.|The rest of the staff speak basic English and information is not always understood. |Staff also know the area well and can advise you well on how to organize trips, how long it takes to climb mountains, etc.|Breakfast is ok and will fill you up for the rest of the day.|We didn’t like getting charged for extra eggs without any warning.|Rooms are a bit old but this goes with the style. Very pretty environment. Lovely inner courtyard with some swings. |Common room with games and fridge. |Water dispenser in main hall.

Cute place, close to everything and very comfortable. There was a fiesta that went on until the wee hours but the hotel had no control over that. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A clean and basic hotel in a good location. An old colonial feel to the rooms and the public areas. Friendly staff.

From the street outside you are looking at a slightly boutique old building. The frontage is older original as are some rooms in the main building and the common areas, then the more modern extension in the garden becomes apparent. Our room in the garden area was large and clean with a pleasant outlook, nice outside seating area and equipped with all the usual resources and heater if required and good WiFi. Parking on the road outside is OK although they prefer you to use their secure locked compound 400m away. ||||Breakfast was fruit juice, bread, butter and jam, eggs to choice, a fruit bowl with yoghurt with tea or coffee. Enough of a choice to start the day. With very nice helpful family staff it is a good choice for Otavalo being just five minutes walk from the market with decent restaurants nearby.

I only wish we could’ve stayed more than one night! Very nice and spacious room with clean and modern bathroom, comfy bed with soft sheets, quiet, perfect. Beautiful garden, option to use shared kitchen, everything very clean, the staff very nice and attentive, laundry service reasonably priced. Oh yea, breakfast was awesome too! Highly recommend this hostal!

What to say about this place…. There is something truly magical about this hotel. Maybe it’s the incredible staff. Maybe it’s the top notch breakfast they serve, or the BEAUTIFUL, courtyard with plants everywhere. I have stayed at this place more than 10 times. It is my go to every time I am visiting Ecuador. They can accommodate couples, or large teams. Beautiful place, with beautiful people, on a beautiful country.
Side note. For any foreigners traveling to Ecuador this place has incredibly safe food preparation. Some places you visit in Ecuador, ok a lot of places, you have to be VERY careful about what you eat here. I have never thought twice about eating or drinking anything from here!
