Hostal Ruta Sur

This was a BEAUTIFUL place to stay for our group overnight. The woman who welcomed us was the sweetest person and despite the language barrier, she was extremely helpful and attentive! Her and her crew made us a lovely breakfast in the morning and the building is decorated so nicely! Overall incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone!

Very kind and sweet staff!! They were helpful and their smiles lit up the room. The rooms themselves were GREAT. I passed out the second my head hit the pillow- it was so comfy. It's hard to describe so I recommend looking at the pictures but the vibe was immaculate. They had so many plants, so much sunlight, so many comfy spots to lay. It was the fanciest place I've ever slept, in Colombia or USA.

Very nice, clean and well located hostel. Claudia and Beatriz are very nice and helpful hosts. Rooms are spacious with private bath. 100% recommended. The place is walking distance to many of Cali’s landmarks. If you like running, this is the place to be. Close by, there are also a good selection of restaurant.

Lavished with warmth and hospitality from the moment I arrived! Claudia is an incredible host who made me feel completely at home and made great recommendations for my stay. I met many friendly travellers and enjoyed hanging out in the glorious courtyard. Facilities are great too. Will be back!

My stay here was a absolute highlight. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and familial. The decoration is super cool as well, certainly made with a lot of effort and heart. It’s perfect place to relax after a eventful day or night full of Salsa dancing. I can recommend this hostel 100% and I’ll certainly come back soon.

Great hostal in the middle of San Antonio. Quiet but with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff. Beatriz speaks English. Charmingly maintained with plants and open air sections. You might need bug spray if you sit down the bottom. Beds and pillows are quite firm but still reasonably comfortable.

Hostal Ruta Sur is located in the calm and characterful San Antonio area of the city. Simple en-suite rooms are dark but comfortable, with plenty of hot water. Rooms are arranged around leafy internal courtyards with communal seating. The staff are helpful. The hostel is wonderfully quiet at night, with no noise from the street. Breakfast (not included in the room rate) is available. A peaceful haven.

Whenever I travel to Cali I stay at this hostel, highly recommended! The rooms, cleanliness and the work equipment are impeccable. This place is very peaceful and has very good energies.
