Simple plain accommodation with decent Euro4 breakfast option and Euro5 overnight parking at the rear of the hostal. I parked on the street about 100M away without any problems. Only possible negative was that there is little noise insulation; fortunately no one near my room made significant noise, so not a problem for me. Very close to the centre of the Town, and easy walk. If you don't require five star accommodation, this is a very good choice.

We (3 friends) used this hotel as a base for birding Extremadura. It was very well placed in the town of Trujillo but fairly close to some very good birding sites. The room was clean with beds made up every day. We had a separate bathroom with a good shower. The room had a TV which we didn't really use as it was just a base to sleep and have breakfast. Breakfast was Continental style between 8:30-10am and cost a reasonable 4 euros a day. There were no catering facilities in the room take a travel kettle if you want a hot drink in your room. The staff were friendly and coped well with our schoolboy Spanish. It was very reasonable at 300 euros for 4 nights for a room for the 3 of us plus 48 euros for breakfasts. Parking is available inside a closed courtyard which costs extra ? but we didn't use it finding on-street parking easily. It is basic but filled our needs admirably at an affordable price.

We got a room with a little terrace to enjoy the time in between hikes and walks around town. That was really nice. The breakfastbuffet had enough to choose from and the friendly staff constantly asks to provide fresh coffee and tea and anything else you might need. The people there are just so nice it really makes you wanting to stay longer. This was without doubt the best stay in Extremadura.

We spent 4 nights in Trujillo and the Hostal San Miguel was the perfect base. Our room was spacious with both bath and shower. It's just 3 minutes walk to the Plaza Mayor and also easy to access by car. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had the breakfast which at 4E was very good value as was the secure parking at 5E. We would happily return.

the rooms are a nice size but a bit dated the bathrooms do have everything but also a bit dated, very nice and friendly receptionist and super location for visiting Trujillo with a private carpark at the back of the hotel

A few minute stroll from the Plaza Mayor, the Hostal San Miguel was a reasonably-priced, friendly small inn in a simply enchanting town! We had a cozy room with our own little sitting area in the back garden, fragrant with the smell of orange blossoms. Breakfast was decent, and a bargain at 4 €/ person (but fresh orange juice would have been preferred). The staff were helpful and very pleasant. All in all, we absolutely loved our visit to Trujillo, which was enhanced by the peaceful ambiance of the hostel. BTW, there was plenty of nearby safe, on-street parking (but they do have their own private area for a modest charge).

We spent a night here and were given a very large room with 3 single beds in it. Beds were very comfortable.|As mentioned by others, staff are very pleasant although we didn't come across any staff member who spoke English. As with everyone else we've encountered in Spain, even though you say you can't speak Spanish, they continue to explain everything to you in Spanish!!! However, we managed.|Location is great too.|Only a few minutes walk up the road to the Plaza Mayor and the Old Town and a few minutes down the road to a number of other restaurants.|The only complaint was that the towels were terrible. They didn't seem to dry your body properly.|However, I would recommend as you can't beat the price and the location.

We stayed at this 2 star hostal during the famous cheese festival and it was far enough away from the main plaza to get sleep but only a few minutes walk to all the action and to the amazing Trujillo castle. The hotel is part of a beautiful mansion that has been divided into three and has a traditional Mozarabe ceiling. The rooms are spacious, there is a lovely salon to relax in and our room had doors that opened onto a tiny balcony overlooking the Plaza San Miguel. The bath was full size, a pleasant change when you are tall and the blue painted walls and soft leather lounge chairs gave the room a Mexican feel. For €4 we had the best breakfast we've had so far with lots of fruit, yogurt cakes, teas coffee Etc.
