I would never recommend this hostel to anybody. Did not even receive a key to our room, and was told it would be given to us after they made a copy. Never received the key so we were locked out for 6 hours. Unhelpful staff and felt completely ignored. Rooms are hot, stuffy and unclean. The single fan in the room sounds like a jet engine which happens to be located right next to your head while you sleep. DO NOT BOOK HERE

You get a lot for your money. It’s clean, spacious, the staff is friendly and, best of all, the breakfast was vegan. I stayed in a shared room.

We booked a suite for three nights and extended it on site for another two without any complications. The suite is very nice, spacious and has a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bed was super comfortable and we had quiet and relaxing nights.||||If you need some privacy in the bathroom, the suite is not necessarily the right choice for you. It is open and you can see from the bed directly into the shower or to the toilet. We didn't mind, we made it work :)||||Before we flew back to Switzerland, we spent another two nights at the Hostel but the suite was already fully booked so we took a standard room. The room size and equipment is fine, only the bed was very uncomfortable compared to the suite and we slept badly.||||In the bathroom something is not quite correct with the drain, when we were showering, our half room was flooded.||||Breakfast was ok and freshly prepared every day, but unfortunately each person was only allowed to have one plate with a few fruites, a piece of bread and one drink and every day was the same. A little variety would have been nice or at least the possibility to get a second plate. However, it has a kitchen, which you are allowed to use as a guest, so you can arrange yourself.

This hostel was great - besides the amenities and the pricing I have to say my favorite thing about my stay was how much attention to detail was provided by the amazing staff. I think it is the people who make a business great and for me it was Yazmin. She took very good care of me. On the map Hostel San Pancho looks like its far from everything but it's really not. It's just a short walk to the beach and on the way you see all the highlights that this little surf town has to offer. Would highly recommend.

The only reason we do not give it 5 stars is that there is no bar or even beverage service. But the atmosphere is both casual and elegant. Every corner is well lighted with views of the surrounding terrain, and flowers are everywhere. The managers are friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are delicious and creative in real Mexican style, served by the lovely Karla. There is a very nice small pool for bathing and relaxing. We highly recommend Casa San Pancho and we will always return. This was our second stay.

San Pancho lacks accommodation in peak season so we stayed here. We paid $75 a night for a room here and actually it was pretty good. ||We had a room at the end of the hallway which had a little balcony. Maybe this is the premium room but it's worth getting it for the extra light and space. The bedrooms that look on to the hallway do not look as good. ||A point to remember is that the toilet and shower is in the room. So you will be very close to your room mate- so maybe stay off the seafood tacos etc! ||The wifi is good and the breakfast was basic but good - fruit with a delicious piece of banana and nut cake. Fresh juices and coffee too. ||I agree with others, it's a good 15 minute walk to the beach but on the other hand it's really close to where the bus drops you off. ||Overall I can recommend this place. |||

Good location, quiet, excellent friendly personnel. The room was pretty, comfortable. There is a home nearby that seems to be breeding roosters, so it's quite loud. You get used to the sounds, but it's definitely annoying. Also found bedbugs which i had to remove from my body!!! I told the people at the front desk and one of the cleaning lady who listened and seemed genuinely concerned and said they were going to take care of the this. I was in room 4.
