Hostal San Pedro

We spent one night in the hostal. It was Saturday, so this beautiful town was quite busy. The location in the old part of Cuenca is perfect for exploring this area and there are plenty of great eating places. There is a bus connection from the lower part of the town. The accommodation is situated in the historical house on the main street. Our double room was on the third floor. It was simple , clean and the bed was comfortable. |The small window in our room was facing the street which was noisy with crowds of people, buses and cars. Also the toilet kept leaking water. There was coffee maker in the lobby, but no cups. The most complicated part was checking-in. There was no staff in the hostal, and we didn't get any message on booking.com, so we couldn't get into building. We tried to call, but our basic Spanish wasn't enough to communicate. We were saved by another guest who spoke English and was helpful to call the owners for us. Parking on busy Saturday was very difficult. We couldn't get space by the castillo or in the paid parking garage, so we had to leave the car in the lower part of town by the bus station.

Overall experience is excellent! I would give it a 6 star review if I can. Location is absolutely the advantage of this Hostal. It is in old town, close to most of the attractions and also good for a night walk. It is also very clean and has everything you need for a stay. The building is also full of history and gives me the experience as local and see local sites easily. The staff is nice and helpful, the only thing is you need to at least speak some basic Spanish when you come to this town of Cuenca.

stayed at this hostal for 2 nights and were not dissapointed. Room good size with equally large bathroom. Checkin was efficient and the young lady offered us lots of info on local sights, walks.... 2 minutes to the the main square and all the other sights, catedral, musuems etc. Room cleaned daily which was great and unexpected. Public parking in front of hostal however there is plenty of free parking at the top of the hill...

Really nice stay right in the heart of the scenic area! Friendly staff and historic feel to the building. Very comfortable bedding and the shower was nice and hot, which was great after a long motorcycle ride in the rain

The hostal was comfortable, clean and the staff friendly. We only stayed one night but enjoyed the stay. It was a freezing cold weekend in Cuenca but the hostal was incredibly warm and perfect to escape from the cold.

We had a lunch at the restaurant of the Hostal Rural San Piedro, and it was a wonderful experience. Low prices, great quality of food and wine, white linen table cloth, the view from the restaurant, service - everything was great. Highly recommended.

Great location, amazing decoration and kind hostess

Llegamos y la puerta de entrada no funciona bien por lo que queda abierta las 24 hs.no hay jabón en la ducha ni toallas de mano.hay cafetera pero no hay tazas donde hacer café. La señora de la limpieza muy amable ... Tercer piso x escalera que no fue informado previamente.
