Highly recommended. Our stay in this hotel within such a beautiful location was the highlight of our trip. A friendly established with brilliant local cuisine in the restaurant. Will definitely return.

This lovely Spanish local hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. We stayed 4 days whilst touring and walking locally. The family owners speak only Spanish, but as previous reviewers, we just all muddled through. The hotel is kept beautifully clean, food is freshly prepared and excellent. The small town is so peaceful, with easy access to well-signposted walks. We didn’t want to leave.

We stayed in one of the apartments owned and run by the hotel, but chose to eat our meals in the hotel.||The apartment was modern and equipped with toaster, but no kettle, a few saucepans, an oven and 2 ring electric stove, large fridge freezer. A double bed and a sofa bed were located in the main room with a circular table. It was a very pleasant stay for 2: but as we experienced 2 days of rain, it would probably be small for 4 adults. Ideal for a family. A cleaning pack was provided as guests were expected to leave the rooms as they found them.||The hotel served a good breakfast which was taken in one of the restaurant rooms when the hotel was busy, in the bar when quiet. The restaurant serves traditional food of the area. There are other restaurants within walking distance.||The town is dominated by the Monistary which may be visited. There are several interesting villages and the gorge, about 3 km away is well worth a visit and to see the eagles and vulchers a visit to lerma to the parador (palace) is within easy reach.||An area rarely visited by foreigners - we recommend it.

I stayed here for one night as a base to visit Sad Hill. The hotel is very picturesque, clearly well maintained, cleanly and the room I had was perfectly adequate with a good sized bathroom, comfortable bed and TV. I used the free parking 5 minutes away as opposed to paying the on site fee. There is a bar and restaurant on site and a small shop for provisions. The hotel is very central and some good walking around the historic area can be had.||||Note, English is not spoken at this hotel but I managed to muddle through with my very broken Spanish and the use of Google translate.||||If I was in the area I would 100% stay here again.

Had stayed here previously in the hotel but this time booked an apartment as had seen them around and overlooking the pool. Apartment itself was lovely, very modern, clean and well equipped (except a kettle would have been handy) but unfortunately pool was all closed up so not much point in paying extra to overlook it! Hotel itself lovely old place with nice little bar and big restaurant which we ate at first evening. Couldn’t understand a word of the menu but made a good stab at it and got beautiful suckling lamb on the bone. Bit pricey though. Didn’t eat breakfast there.

We enjoyed our three night stay in this very well run family hotel. | Everyone was very friendly, even though we don't speak much Spanish, and they really wanted to make our stay pleasant. The food in the dining room was home-style cooking, freshly prepared and very tasty and the breakfast was the best value we have seen for a long time.| There is good undercover parking in a garage which keeps cars cool.|We thoroughly recommend this hotel.|

This is probably the hotel Manuel started when he went back to Spain after he worked in Fawlty Towers. Many entries, stairways, hallways and communal rooms. Breakfast is basic, but cheap.

Comfortable, slightly worn family-run rural hotel and bar. A bit noisy at times, parking is complicated, but the sound of the pipe organ echoing thru the walls of the adjacent monastery is unforgettable!
