|This low cost Hostel is in a quite yet Central Spot in Cusco. Reception is friendly and speaks very few english. The rooms (3 Beds for us, private bathroom) had everything we needed. WiFi and hot shower are fairly good working, Beds are absolutely ok. Small breakfast included; very nice Lobby!

We stayed in two different rooms, one upstairs before Machu Picchu and one downstairs after. The first was ok, the second had no bars in the window that was right in the main yard (so if we wanted to leave it open anyone could just go inside while me and my girlfriend were asleep!), bed was comfortable enough, but the shower was easily the worst I have ever seen in my life. it was either little scalding water or a bit more freezing water, in a very cold town. I complained at the front desk and they basically said "yeah, that's how it is, nothing you can do about it, rooms upstairs have a better shower". WiFi didn't work so well. location is great, and I didn't find it noisy, like some other reviewers said, but I would not come back. the staff was ok, they weren't rude but they weren't particularly friendly neither. breakfast was bad. yard was nice, but it sure looks better on the pictures.

Weird place, weird people working there, some room is clean, some is not, some room is very cold, some is ok, some room have hot water, some room not, breakfast: from 1 to 10 i'll vote 2, the only positive thing is the price and the position, absolutely good for Cusco.|I sleep in a room at the first floor without bathroom the first night and was absolutely freezing; the communal toilet is almost outdoor without hot water (the shower is a shok with the Cusco temperatures).|I move on the ground floor the second night. After a discussion with a old weird man (apparently the owner), (who was sleep on the couch of the reception) wich was try to give to me a room where he was personally change the sheets in front of me (after leave the pillows on the dirty floor and without clean a toilet) i obtain to have the room number 101 (wich was cleaned from a cleaner woman, not the old man) where i found finally comfort and good time.|The central heater make a terrible noise all night long, i strictly recommend earplugs.|Care about the bill than they make because they are easy to make confusion with the number of night and the type of accomodation you had.|I don't had nothing else.|All of that is sad because the building is very big colonial house with a nice internal terrace; with a good management it can have a good potential.|

This place was recommended to us in the fully booked Suecia 1, where we have planned to stay. We stayed in this hostal for two nights and didn't regret. The rooms are very simple but very clean and comfortable and for much lower price. Some rooms might be little bit darker, since have a window into the glass roofed patio. What we really loved was the woman with the short haircut, which was so nice and helpful. We have no problems with any of ours special requests. The location is great, only few minutes from the Plaza de Armas. Recommended.

Old colonial house with beautiful courtyard centrally located in the heart of the city. The rooms are quite clean and basic, simple breakfast - eggs, bread and butter, bathroom clean with hot water. At times it felt that we were the only guests, the place was beautifully quiet. Helpful staff, little English. Lots of restaurants around the hotel with the best vegetarian restaurant just opposite.

Dirty carpet cold not clean awful lighting breakfast was gone by the time we came downstairs. Very noisy. The photos make it look nicer than it is. ||Good location. ||I suppose this is fine for a cheapo budget better than camping, maybe. ||Lady at the desk very nice.

We stayed at Suecia II for 3 days and then another day after hiking the Inca Trail. The hostel is an old colonial building in a small cobbled street just off the main plaza. Rooms are small and double bed was a bit saggy. ||The hostel was fairly clean (shower not cleaned from previous occupants). Shower pressure too low to be used in one room.||Staff very helpful but limited English.||Rooms situated around a central covered courtyard. As people leaving on trips during early hours (from about 2 am onwards) there always seemed to be noise. It was very difficult to get much sleep. Reception didn't seem to realise that lots of people laughing and chatting (often loudly) at 2 am might disturb other guests. Notices reminding people that some guests are still sleeping might help. NB I suspect this is a common problem for many hostels in Cusco.||Bags can be left while hiking the Trail

Clean beds, clean shower but only warm water in shower. Easy location to find near the square. We paid for breakfast but in the morning the breakfast/housekeeper indicated we did not have it in our "plan". We held our ground and got the breakfast we paid for. The center of the building is an open square and very noisy when the late night folks are entering the building. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you.
