Hostel Sunny Days

Where do i even start? First of all, location is perfect. Located near bus station and in a safe area. 5 mins walk to the beach. Market across the road where you can shop for groceries, and there is also a food court with good food. Big supermarket and mall nearby. The room is clean and sheets smell fresh. Towels are provided. Showers are cleaned everyday. Breakfast provided every morning. There is also a rooftop where you can watch the sun set over Arica. And the most important of all, the hospitality of the hosts. Beatriz welcomed me warmly and Ross helped me out with booking a tour to the national park, also let me stay longer to wait for my night bus. Really appreciate it! Wished i could have stayed longer!

It was a great time here. Ross and Beatrice are fantastic hosts and great to chat with. Location is good. 10 min walk from the bus station, and just minutes away from the mall or the beach. Breakfast is good and they even set it up early on the day I was leaving. Clean rooms, hot shower, kitchen with everything you need. I'd stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Really loved to stay here with Ross, he knows what travelers need ;) The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and huge. Plenty of space to hang out, a fast and reasonable laundry service, free secure parking, however, the thing that stuck out most to us was how welcoming we were received and how good the breakfast was. It felt like having a breakfast at home, thank you Ross. We will come again if we make it to Arica again!

This was one of our favorite places during over 6 weeks of travel in South America. Ross and his wife are such lovely people and their hostel is very cozy. Everything from the comfortable beds, hot shower day/night, tasty breakfast, quiet room yet social communal areas, and nice rooftop. Ross also gave us the perfect travel recommendations. If you’re lucky, maybe Ross will take you on an adventure at sea 😎🌊

Reminiscing online as i stayed here in 2007 and still have fond memories of it. Great hostel in a great location and in a beautiful part of the world. The owners are lovely people too. Very happy to see it’s still going.

What a wonderful stay we had, almost like home! Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and warm shower. Well-equipped kitchen and tasty bread for breakfast. Great location close to the market, beach and bus stop/station. Ross is a very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended!

Nicest host ever, from New Zealand, so speaks Spanish and English. When we realized in the evening that we would take the night bus je dus nooit even charge the night, and full of information of the surroundings. Close to bus station, nice common rooms and ok breakfast.

Loved our stay, it's a very home-like hostel. Ross really cares about his guest. Sharing a breakfast table with all guests is a nice way to start the day!
