We had dinner here for our wedding anniversary and we will be going back! Restaurant is cosy and ambience is pretty nice. Staff are amazing, friendly, knowledgeable. The food was amazing and the wine pairings were excellent. Our waiter explained the menu to us and made excellent recommendations. From the moment our order was taken, the courses arrived very quickly. We had a suckling pig and swordfish, which were seasonal menu items, they were both fantastic and the wines recommended by our waiter were spot on! I had a pear cake with ricotta for dessert, my husband had some of the home-made chocolate with almonds served with an excellent spiced wine, they were both divine! Service was superb! They also have valet parking. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the better Italian restaurants I've tried in Montreal. I use Da Emma as the measuring stick when it comes to Italian. So against that I rate the food as 90% there. I tried it for my anniversary dinner and that was my mistake. It was small, very loud and a little bit to bright. My waiter was pleasant and very knowledgeable but didn't do a very good job of breaking down the menu for me. I felt as if I was wanting him time at times. Overall great food but not very cozy feeling. I would go back with a small group of friends and it'd be perfect.

There are a few dishes that we had in Italy that we have had trouble finding here in Montreal. There are plenty of great Italian restaurants in this city and this one is one of them. It has some unique dishes that we saw in Italy and have not seen since like the wild board pasta or pasta with rabbit. Well worth the visit especially with the great service and the place is really nice.

I discovered this restaurant from the TV Show Guide Resto Voir. Yesterday was my second time there and loved it even more than the first time. We ate pasta, seafood, veggies, lamb and more. The waiter had plenty of good suggestions so we gave him our budget and let him choose for us. We were not disappointed. We drank one red wine bottle which was really good and I was pleasantly surprised that it did not cost more than 50$ which is lower than my normal expectations for a wine in a restaurant.

Located on a quiet enough corner, parking was easy even though they offer valet. Decor is subdued but in good taste. We had the best place in the house with a large table by the front window. Food was hit or miss however, my boar sugo looked appetizing but lacked in flavor. My gf ordered the same plate and was also disappointing. Others in our party mentioned the food as ok and nothing more. The appetizers were excellent from the buratta to fired artichokes and charcuterie platter. Extensive Italian wine selection but not much else. Bar service is poor, they can't even make a Margarita.

Hostaria is our favourite restaurant in Little Italy. We go there for lunch when we shop at Milano. Their 2 course lunch special for $25, including cappuccino is reasonably priced and the food always excellent. The Galletto alla Diavola (spicy cornish hen) and Coniglio in Potacchio (roasted rabbit with black olives and white wine) are especially good! The interesting wine list offers lots of private imports, but at over 2 times the retail price it is a bit expensive. But you can always opt for a generous glass of Nero d'Avola for $10. Desserts are also very good. Their zeppole served with a delicious amarena cherry on top, a traditional pastry consumed during the Festa di San Giuseppe (celebrated every March 19th) are to die for. Service by Giuseppe and Andreas is always welcoming and impeccable. They make you feel like family. The restaurant is very cozy and we enjoy our table for 2 by the window. Highly recommended!

Of all the restaurants I've eaten in Little Italy, this has to be the far most best restaurant. Food, Service , Quality and especially Ambiance.....If you love rabbit , I highly recommend this place. My restaurant of choice for 2014. Keep up the good work guys and I'll see you next week.!!! Ciao Renato
