Google
A really nice restaurant, the wine selection is big, and the service was great and attentive. Food was overall pretty good just a bit under seasoned but really well cooked and delicious pasta sauces. Had a great time

Google
Very nice restaurant located in a beautiful small street with great ligurian dishes. We came here for dinner and sat outside. Excellent service, we ordered the octopus and the anchovies for starters, ravioli and the Ligurian fish for main. Great option in the city, definitely recommended!

Nice interior, good service, delicious food, the meat I ordered with truffles was so delicious that I wanted more and more. Overall, a good place, I recommend it.

Google
Enjoyed the pear ravioli. Different from pasta dishes I tried at other restaurants. The server was attentive and was kind to have the appetizer split in 2 servings. The ragu pasta and tomato mozarela were slightly disappointing. It was plain and not much flavor. Great wine selection.

We are Americans. We don’t speak any Italian. We tried our best but the server seemed to be very annoyed with us and never made eye contact with us. But we ordered a lot of food and we enjoyed every bit of it. Just felt awkward at times because his energy was more drastically different with us than others. Pear Ravioli was amazing!!!

Google
Nice place in the historic part of Rapallo. We came here by chance and got a table for dinner without a problem. The service was friendly and the food was good. However a little more spices would have been nice. The wine list is large and the prices are fair. We paid 26 € for a local Rosé.

Google
outstanding authentic little Italian resturant. Cosy atmosphere, excellent food, hand made pastas, extensive wine selection, professional waiters. This is a must visit place.

Great hotel across from the sea!! Wonderful family: Luciano, Marta, Guilia and Manuel run a warm, welcoming, and friendly hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, and all staff; cleaning, desk, breakfast crew were always attentive and friendly. Breakfast included a great variety of yummy foods and drinks. Great experience 👍

Yelp
Great service and ambiance. Pear Ravioli was to die for, Trofie al Pesto was good, and the Taglierini Ragu was okay. Pesto caprese is a must as an appetizer. Would come back as it is of higher quality and more low key than the main street eateries.

Yelp
La comida es deliciosa, entradas y pastas muy buenas al igual que la bebida con bastante variedad de vinos

Lori T.

Yelp
Fantastic food!!! Wonderful service, no problem with language barrier. Nice mix of locals and travelers, open arms to both! Great ambiance. Highly recommend. Make a reservation! But if not still try.

Yelp
This was the 5th Italian restaurant we ate at on our long awaited trip to Italy. The waiter and the staff do not make you feel welcome and in fact our experience felt very much like they wanted to rush us out. Every entree we ordered was under seasoned and bland with the exception of the grilled tuna. The spinach dish was cold. And it was the first time we received a cover charge since we arrived in Italy. I guess every vacation includes a less than average experience. We made our way to Camolgi and the Osteria du Sigu was just the opposite. Totally amazing!

Yelp
Great environment. The variety of breads was good. The caprese salad was light. The spinach ravioli was delicious, but slightly overpowered by the truffles. The taglierini cone pesche e vidure looked beautiful. Salt helped the dish come alive. The house red was a good partner with the meal. The tiramisu was delightful. The budino di riccota bucce d aranchia e chocolota caldo was also very good. Great meal in Rapallo! Great service and attentive.

Yelp
The pear ravioli was divine. Everybody loved what they ordered. The walnut ravioli a friend ordered was wonderful too. The tiramisu was excellent. Service was lovely. Italian slow!

Yelp
We arrived at 21h, a waiter greeted us friendly and showed us a free table. This is an Italian restaurant where the local Italians come to eat the local food, but all local dishes are served to a higher standard of cuisine, so it's not touristic at all, and that's what we looked for during our trip to Rapallo. It has a nice cozy interior, some soft jazz - lounge music in the background set the atmosphere in the restaurant. The menu card showed as expected the local specialties of 'Rapalese' food. The menu card was written in Italian, but the waiter Cristiano Ratto spoke perfectly English and translated the menu card. For each dish the expected preparation time was mentioned. Cristiano advised us a wine that would perfectly fit with the food, and it did. Fresh from the bottle, no crappy house wine, and charged by the glass if you want. I took as starter the mozzarella with tomatoes, and my partner took the Prosciutto Crudo di Parma con Insalatina di Frutta (parma ham with fruit salad). The Mozarella was a simple dish, but o - so delicious, it's just the real deal mozzarella, the one you can't buy in our countries local grocery stores. The Parma ham dish with fruits, very simple dish. The ham melted away on the tongue . The main dish was Ravioli di Pere in Crema Di Formaggi Grana Padano, Fontina e Gorgonzola (pear ravioli within cheeses sauce and balsamic vinegar cream), It took my breath away, a very refined taste with the pears and cheeses, just heavenly. My hubby had the Pansotti di Rapallo in salsa di Noce (certificati De.Co.) (Rapallo's pansotti with walnut sauce), Pansotti is a local specialty, a kind of ravioli with a herb spinach filling, and a creamy walnut sauce, perfect dish. For the desert I had the Tiramisu, and my partner Mandarino con Rhum (Mandarin sorbet with rhum), we shared the deserts , we where speechless , all so delicious. We went two times back to the restaurant to check out all other dishes on the menu card. This restaurant is a little bit more expensive than the other local restaurants. It guaranteed us a culinary evening and the "why we are in Italy" for vacation.

Yelp
Read the reviews from a few years ago (nothing recent) but agreed this is an awesome spot for dinner in Rapallo. My husband adored the pear ravioli, and I thought the seasonal pasta with local porcini mushrooms was outstanding. Lovely setting and great service.

Yelp
This place was amazing! My family and I have been in Italy for a week, we've been to Venice and Florence and now Rapallo, and this was by far the best place we've eaten at. After eating the same pizza, tomato and mozzarella sandwiches, and undercooked meat for the past week, we were so happy to find a place that offered some unique dishes that sounded appetizing and weren't all sea food. I had the buttered taglierini with bacon and asked for my bacon to be cooked longer and finally got some meat that didn't seem like it was raw. The pasta was good, the dish was satisfying but overall nothing special. I also tried the pear ravioli and the walnut rapallo from my family's meals and those were fantastic! The pear ravioli was a very unique blend of flavors; the sweet pear, salty cheese, and tangy balsamic vinegar made a great combination, I would highly recommend this dish I wish I had got it myself! The walnut rapallo was also great, I only had one bite and thought it tasted nice although my mother, whose dish it was, said it got better and better with every bite. The walnut sauce was very subtle and complimentary unlike the walnut sauce we had in Florence which made the entire meal taste overwhelmingly like walnuts. Overall this restaurant was amazing, the service was also very good which contrasts with service we've had at other restaurants in Italy. I would 100% recommend this place to eat, it's a must!

Yelp
Very nice and fresh home made pasta. Don't miss the Ravioli with pears and Grana Padano cheese and balsamic vinegar . Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. WOW. It's one of the typical rapallo restaurants where you can eat at least two dishes of Pasta at one time.

Yelp
Favorite restaurant in Rapallo. From the outside, it looks like a dinky place with only a few seats but once in the main dining room, it's beautiful. Food is fantastic

Henrik O.

Yelp
Very nice place with good food. 100€ two people 3 courses each. Remember that the shrimps you have to peel yourself. Waiters were very friendly and helpful and very busy serving.

Henrik P.

Yelp
We had the 2 course menu and we were very satisfied! The service was great! They are kind, professional and very quick! We never had to wait long for anything!

Julie D.

Yelp
The pear ravioli is heaven on earth. The pesto lasagna was also delightful. Totally recommend this restaurant!!

Lisa O.

Yelp
The best meal we had in Rapallo ! Fantastic service , wonderful wine, delicious food. The owner greeted us with a handshake , the service was friendly , informative and patient with our need for menu translation. The food was perfect, well timed and high quality.

Yelp
Honestly I eat out often and this place has poor service and sub par food,I have eaten all over Italy and this is at the bottom!

Sarah C.

Yelp
This was our last dinner out in Rapallo and it was well worth it. Of course, call ahead to make reservations because this place is busy. It's located off the beats-path which is a plus. We started with a nice bottle of Chianti and because we hadn't quite gotten in to the 4-course Italian-style meal yet, we waited for our 2nd courses. My husband had the grilled tuna and it was delicious. They did a special order for my younger daughter's meal... Spaghetti Pomodoro- and she thought it was the best we'd had yet. I enjoyed my ravioli and the apple gelato with liquor topped it all nicely. The prices were good and we would definitely go back!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We loved this restaurant, the staff, service, and food were all amazing. The wine selection was incredible as well. This was definitely our top meal in Rapallo. NOT a tourist trap which was an added bpnus

Gina R.

Yelp
WOW! We received a recommendation to go to this restaurant from the manager at our hotel. He said that it was the best in Rapallo and it was truly incredible! I started off with the ensalada Caprese that has the best Pesto sauce that I have ever had. My fiancee had a Fillet steak tartare. So amazing! I was light and had truffles and tasted incredible. I have to admit, he had the best dinner. Pear ravioli with a light cream and balsamic sauce, and our dessert, they called apple pie.....it was an amazing warm apple/butter cake with ice cream and fresh raspberry puree! Great service.....the owner was very attentive and the entire experience was fabulous! We might go back tomorrow.......

Ron B.

Yelp
Below average , overrated and expensive for the low quality .The meat was undercooked the ravioli had weirder balsamic gravy the desert was definitely not prepared on spot and probably heated in the microwave .

Murray C.

Yelp
The food was wonderful and the service excellent. I throughly recommend Ristorante Vecchia.

Renee M.

Yelp
We have traveled widely in Italy, and traveled there quite a few times. Ristorante Vecchia Rapallo may well be the best restaurant at which we've eaten in Italy. The pasta was wonderful. The meat was superb, especially with white truffles. The seafood was great. We went back a second time on the same trip because it was so good. The service was attentive but not overbearing. We were given very good wine suggestions and descriptions. The owners seemed truly appreciative of our coming there, especially a second time. They remembered us.

Yelp
We ducked into this unassuming restaurant for dinner on our 2nd evening in Rapallo. We didn't have reservations but were warmly greeted and seated right away. We wanted to try a variety of dishes and ordered the pumpkin ravioli (buttery and savory), caprese (very fresh and delightful) risotto fruitti de mare (creamy and seafood bountiful), and two desserts (I can't remember what we ordered). All of this, plus two bottles of wine came to roughly 128 euros, which I thought was exceptionally priced for the quality of the food. What I really appreciated about the food preparation, which you don't often see in the states, is that they split each of the dishes out into individual services for my husband and I. So even though we ordered 1 of each dish, they plated each of us our own serving of that plate. While this may appear like a little thing, it was very thoughtful and didn't make us feel as though we were "splitting" entrees. Nice touch! The server was attentive and friendly. The staff was playful, the atmosphere relaxing and warm. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we that we lingered over our meal for a full two hours (and bottles of wine)
