"A smart piazza-side restaurant favored for both dining and people-watching; Beth Graham says, “I love sitting on the piazza and observing as people go about their day.” It sits beneath a canopy of trees and serves traditional pasta dishes and great seafood—ideal for a light lunch—and also offers substantial dinner-sized salads." - Elizabeth Heath

Amazing saffron and tuna tartare risotto. Bruschetta with porcini a bit too salty. Parmigiana was also salty and the eggplant was not properly prepared and was undercooked. Good wine recommended by staff (by the glass). Overall good experience but some of the food needs extra attention.

Very nice experience. Authentic food, I had something off the daily menu and one item off the regular menu. Both had really homemade taste. Would recommend.
To the potato cake: maybe make it smaller and put little salad.

Located in a lively square. The atmosphere was welcoming and casual. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! We shared a vitello tonatto which was delicious. I then had house made gnocchi with girgonzola and salsiccia. Very good. My husband had a tuna steak with vegetables. He loved it.

It’s one of few exceptions of super touristic places where you normally think it can’t be a nice food. It is here!! We had lunches two days in the row. Food, service were great. Don’t be afraid of location, it’s highly recommended

Service great, very attentive and fast. Staff is very nice. Romantic and quiet atmosphere even though they have many places.
The food is extraordinary good. Angus filet was PERFECT, tender and melted on the tongue. Risotto with tuna Tatar as well. Starters were great too and the wine. All in all worth it and a must go for dinner in Stresa.

Authentic would be the word. Always a bit wary of places in squares as sometimes the location is more important than the food - not in this case. The restaurant is all outdoors. It closes if it’s raining.
It is beautifully clean with attentive staff. The food is excellent, traditional meals. I had some of the house red wine which was very drinkable. The bruschetta starter of avocado and salmon followed by the beef pasta were both excellent.
Not a tourist trap, it was mostly full of Italians. Would recommend and definitely go again if I was in the area.

The place is amazing. At the end we returned here 3 times during our 3 days stay. Saffron risotto with tuna, octopus, lasagna and antipasti were especially wonderful. We were also offered free limonchello shots at the end.
