I would say this is a good deal if anyone wants to stay in Ljubljana just for 1-2 days . This place is close to main city centre that's old town area and everything is easily accessible by walk . There is just few things which I didn't like about this hostel . Room has very dark feeling even in daylight. Bathroom always had some weird smell, rest every else is fine.

We stayed for the whole week there and I can definitely recommend this hostel! Location is excellent everything is within walking distance. Staff is super nice. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Great hostel at a great price. Thank you Hostel24 for a great stay!

There is black mold EVERYWHERE in the bathrooms. I don’t care about the quality of the rooms, that’s very unsafe. There’s also no AC.

Stay clear of this hostel!!!!!!!!! NOT ALL ROOMS HAVE AIR CON even though it is advertised as they do!!!! It was an awful experience, mouldy showers and a horrible stench from the bathroom. Myself and my friends booked two private rooms - attracted to this hostel ONLY because of the air conditioning. One 3 bed room and one 4 bed room. We were a group of 5. The 3 person room had air conditioning, the other did not. We could not all fit in one room, although we squashed in. We were appalled at the way we were treated when this was brought to the manager’s attention. The lady at reception was kind, it was not her fault. We booked this hostel only because it had air conditioning and it did not. We received a fan that was no help and it was disgustingly warm in the window-less room. It was like a dungeon. As for the room that did have air conditioning, it did the job but the smell and the mould, as well as the ants on the wall were very disturbing. Anyway - the main aim of this review is so that people understand not all rooms have air conditioning. Only some rooms do and there’s no way of knowing if your room has it or not. The manager and lady at reception tried to tell us that you know if you have air conditioning or not depending on the room you book on the HostelWorld website. They both said it appears when you click on the room you want when booking. As we booked through HostelWorld I double checked this by inputting a different date onto the website to see if it would tell me if air con was available or not in these rooms and this was not true. The fact that they advertise as having air conditioning and do not have it in all rooms needs to be clarified. We couldn’t change rooms as they were fully booked. Stay clear unless you want a sweaty, disgusting, smelly experience! Worst hostel my group and I have stayed in during our inter-railing experience. I never write reviews but this has to be shared.

The receptionist (Elma) had very good communication and was very helpful when we were asking questions about the city. We were allocated room 11, the bedroom was small but there was an entrance area where we could store our bags, it also had a table. There were 2 further bunk beds in the next room along adjacent to the en suit bathrooms. We had this room to ourselves but I presume you would be able to buy it for 4 people sometimes. There was a common area to sit in downstairs and a communal, well stocked kitchen down another flight of stairs. Useful for making tea, breakfast and sandwiches. Enough equipment to cook a full meal if you wanted. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for the amount we paid. We enjoyed our stay here.

The room we got was very dark, almost no light and very bad air conditioning. The room upstairs had the air conditioner all night and it sounded like a helicopter above us, without exaggerating. Then at 06.30 on a Saturday some people woke us up by working next to our windows. I will not recommend it.

Very disappointed with our stay! I wouldn’t usually write reviews but I feel like this one has to be shared. We were a group of 5 and booked one 3 bed and one 4 bed private ensuite which advertised air conditioning as part of their facilities on Hostelworld. When we arrived only the 3 bed had aircon and the 4 bed had none!! The room was extremely stuffy and very uncomfortable there was only one tiny window in one of the rooms which we couldn’t even open as it was covered with a plastic bag looking out into a construction site. We were very disappointed when we said this to the nice lady at reception and were given a fan for the room which helped a small bit but this was not what we paid for. The manager then explained to us that when booking the rooms it says whether or not the rooms have air conditioning. This is not true as we checked this and hostel24 should not be falsely advertising air conditioning in their rooms if not all rooms have it especially during peak summer it is important! We were also woken up at 7am by scraping on the “window” by construction workers right outside which was not very pleasant. The shower was mouldy and we found ants on the wall in one of the rooms which was quite disturbing. We couldn’t change rooms as the hostel was fully booked and after emailing Hostelworld during our stay as to what we should do I was very disappointed when I got an email ONE WEEK later only when we had arrived home which was no help at all. This was by far the worst hostel my group stayed in during our Interrailing trip and I think hostel24 needs to clarify the facilities they are advertising.

The location is great and the staff were kind, friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for food and for things to do in Ljubljana. Unfortunately the room was quite stuffy and needed a fan or air conditioning, especially when it was the price that it was.
