Hostel Alex 30

Not a bad hostel to stay at for a night. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and it was all very clean. It has a small area to hang out but the lobby along with all the public spaces closes at 10pm so there is not much you can do to socialize. The front desk was also not super helpful with suggestions on where to go out or how to get around. There was one receptionist (Bastion) that gave some advice and he was very nice but he is not from Stuttgart so his help was limited. The receptionist the next morning was not helpful at all. The location is pretty good. I was able to go to the city center and the main train station by walking. Overall it was a decent place to stay and cheap

People are very nice. The place is very clean. Beds are very comfortable. It is easy to go to the center city, with many public transportations available.|I really liked sleeping here. Unfortunately, some other clients lack discretion (talking very loud on the phone, listening to music without earplugs...)

Extremely friendly and helpful staff and cosy beds. I especially liked my pillow. I found it more comfortable than in some Hotels I've been to. The rooms, toilet and shower were very clean and everything was well maintained.

Great hostel for backpacker. They have good atmosphere. Travellers here are very friendly and great place to meet people. They have dinning room, game room, small bar, big well equipped kitchen and plenty of travel info. The. Hostel is made for travellers , they have nice travel feeling and much interactive communication with other human being. Toilet and shower are separate, both are always clean. Single room is very clean too. Nothing fancy but good and comfy. One thing I find uneasy is -no lift. All staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide digital key as well , I'm amazed. We should support independent hostel. Good location: 5 min by metro to hbf

We got a 4-bed room The size of the room was large It was clean The ventilation system was excellent The common areas were clean The place was a little far from the central train station (fifteen minutes on foot). The reception is only available from 7 am to 10 am They will email you a password to enter the hostel or room Breakfast was very ordinary You are not allowed to speak loudly in public and you have to keep silent It is more suitable for middle-aged and elderly people Acceptable for the price

Bed bugs. We had to leave the hostel around 10:30 PM due to a bed bug infestation. When we contacted the after-hours number, they told us there was nothing they could do until the morning and didn’t offer any assistance. As a result, we had to book a late-night stay at another hotel which cost us a significant amount due to the late nature of the booking. The following morning, a staff member who was very understanding offered us a refund for our stay and advised us to contact the administration regarding compensation for the last-minute hotel change. However, they have completely ignored my email, and I don't expect a response any time in the future. I understand these things happen, but it feels like it could have been handled with more courtesy. I cannot recommend this place at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Weird guests, unclean rooms, bed bugs at least in room 203, something that is apparently known by the hostel, according to some reviews that mention the same room. At the beginning, I asked to move from my room that was originally assigned to me because it just stank (even with the window open) and was really dirty. I was moved to room 203 where I noticed too late that it was infested with bed bugs. I was completely bitten by them (see photos). I won't even go into detail to the sorts of people you can find at this hostel. Just spend the 20 extra euros and book yourself a hotel room.

We got a free upgrade from 4 people room to the double room, staff was super friendly the rooms and common areas were reasonably clean. You can borrow the towel for only 1 EUR. The parking area next to the hostel was also very convenient (i recommend to book it with the stuff in advance, the parking places are limited). Overall we had an amazing stay.

I only spent one night in Stuttgart and I stayed at Alex 30. I really enjoyed my stay. It was pretty quiet when I went. It was a VERY clean hostel with a friendly staff. Somewhat of a hike from the train station and the main part of the city, but it's definitely worth the stay. The staff is really knowledgable about Stuttgart as well.

Stayed here summer '11. It was clean and had a good shower which is sometimes all you need. Hostel had a nice little bar and was it was an enjoyable walk from the city centre.
