Hostel Alex 30

The room is very nice, clean and comfortable. The location is also ideal as it's near the Hbf and the tram/bus station. From the hostel, it is very easy to get to the Mercedes-Benz museum. The stuffs are very nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

Negatives:| • Bathroom Issues: The fittings were faulty, and hot water was not available in the washbasins, which was quite inconvenient.| • Bunk Beds: The beds were extremely noisy; even slight movements caused a lot of crackling sounds, making it difficult to sleep.| • Amenities: There was no liquid soap in the bathing area, which is a basic necessity.| • Accessibility: No escalators, which can be a hassle if you’re carrying heavy luggage.| • Management: The hostel administration seemed indifferent to all these issues, as none of them were addressed despite being noticeable.||Positives:| • Bar Availability: The bar is open from 7:30 AM to 10 PM, which is a great plus for socializing.| • Affordability: Prices are reasonable, making it a budget-friendly option.| • Location: It’s conveniently close to the train station, making commuting easy.| • Staff: The staff members were friendly and approachable.| • Cleanliness: Both the rooms and washrooms were clean, which was a relief.

Not a bad hostel to stay at for a night. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and it was all very clean. It has a small area to hang out but the lobby along with all the public spaces closes at 10pm so there is not much you can do to socialize. The front desk was also not super helpful with suggestions on where to go out or how to get around. There was one receptionist (Bastion) that gave some advice and he was very nice but he is not from Stuttgart so his help was limited. The receptionist the next morning was not helpful at all. The location is pretty good. I was able to go to the city center and the main train station by walking. Overall it was a decent place to stay and cheap

Service and location are good, but as many others have mentioned, there are bed bugs. A lesser complaint is that the metal bunks are noisy and the lockers are very small. Also, towels are €6+€5 cleaning fees, and there isn't communal shower/hand soap. I had to leave early for a better hostel that was only €10 more up the road.

People are very nice. The place is very clean. Beds are very comfortable. It is easy to go to the center city, with many public transportations available.|I really liked sleeping here. Unfortunately, some other clients lack discretion (talking very loud on the phone, listening to music without earplugs...)

Perfect room, very quiet and comfortable + helpful staff, a wonderful stay. Very easy to check-in, with a bathroom next door. Not crowded and very calm atmosphere. Also really clean in every room, I have never seen a hostel like this. It was a great stay, thank you very much!

Great hostel for backpacker. They have good atmosphere. Travellers here are very friendly and great place to meet people. They have dinning room, game room, small bar, big well equipped kitchen and plenty of travel info. The. Hostel is made for travellers , they have nice travel feeling and much interactive communication with other human being. Toilet and shower are separate, both are always clean. Single room is very clean too. Nothing fancy but good and comfy. One thing I find uneasy is -no lift. All staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide digital key as well , I'm amazed. We should support independent hostel. Good location: 5 min by metro to hbf

pros: price, location, room is large, breakfast is good, clean, has outlet on upper bund, free towel with deposit, digital key cons: bed squeaks very loud even if u just move a tiny bit. no shampoo and body wash others: i don't think stuttgart is a very touristy place so not many people stay here for more than a few days, therefore not much activity and less young people. 7/10 would stay again, mainly for the price

I only spent one night in Stuttgart and I stayed at Alex 30. I really enjoyed my stay. It was pretty quiet when I went. It was a VERY clean hostel with a friendly staff. Somewhat of a hike from the train station and the main part of the city, but it's definitely worth the stay. The staff is really knowledgable about Stuttgart as well.

Stayed here summer '11. It was clean and had a good shower which is sometimes all you need. Hostel had a nice little bar and was it was an enjoyable walk from the city centre.
