Hostel Buddha House

This was my second time I stay at Buddha House with my large costarican, AMAZING! Maricel is a great host great at accommodating and very pending of all our needs, thank you! We are already booked for our family trip in April 2025, looking forward to be there.

Upper level basic room , cooold a/c.. good for short stay. Nice open air kitchen dining area..

We had a big frenmily vacation at Buddha House, and Marisel (our host) and her team made our stay super special.||The hotel is beautifully decorated, with style and character. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we got lots of help with trips, activities and transfers. Plenty of venues around to eat, drink, shop or relax. We would definitely go back :)

Had the best time of my life !! Mari is the best host you could ask for she was on top of everything. Left my phone on the 4 wheeler trip. She called and had it brought back to me. She went way out of her way above and beyond for all our wants and needs. Clean rooms very spacious and secure place to stay. Close to many nice restaurants and night life !! Hope to be able to book again soon !!

Best for young party goers. Yes the house is big but beyond that not the best offerings we had problems with hot water bath towels were extremely worn kitchen, minimally, outfitted grill nonexistent, and the nighttime noise made it very hard to sleep. If you were in an upstairs room, the Wi-Fi did work in the main area, but not so much in the rooms, the washer and dryer are extremely old and only worked on one setting. But if you are a group not interested in doing a lot of cooking but wanting to be in the heart of jaco|This might be the place for you. It is definitely in the center of town easy to walk to the markets restaurants surrounding that are good and there are lots of places to arrange day trips. No need for a car in town and Uber worked very well. If you were looking for a budget friendly place to stay in the heart of the action this would not be a bad pick.

We stayed for one night in a private room. There is no light at all in room so it feels very dark and claustrophobic in the day. The facilities were nice however we did not use the pool. |We had breakfast and there was plenty of choice and tea and coffee aswell.|You definitely get what you pay for and it was a nice stay overall. One of the cheaper hostels in Jaco but is still nice.|The lady was very nice in helping us on our journey and gave us bus times and where to get them.

Wow what a place to stay! If you would like to visit Jaco a very cool beach town with excellent food, nightlife and surf with a bunch of cool things to do around. Then I would definitely recommend to stay here! The location could not be better, right in the middle of the Main Street. The beach 3-4 min walk away good super market 5 minutes away. It felt very safe and secure. The room was clean and spacious comfy bed. Aircon that worked great! You definitely need that. The breakfast was amazing. Eggs bacon. Fruit salad smoothies. Plus some surf boards to use. This place felt like a home. Mari was a particular highlight of our stay. She gave us great recommendations. On tours. Mari saved us a lot of money. There was a trip we wanted to do that cost $180. After her advice we were able to it on our own for less than $50. She also helped us with laundry. When we go back to Jaco we will definitely stay here again. |Cheers|Tim

Buddha is an awesome spot to spend the night. The prices are good, the rooms are clean and spacious, very nicely decorated, colorful and cheerful, the service is good, the staff are friendly. The only issue is that it can get very loud due to its central location, the music coming from nearby bars and clubs at night is disturbing. Hence, if you're not part of the party animals and clubbers, I suggest you bring ear plugs!
