Me and my wife spent a few days ate the hostel! we really recommend to people. the staff are all very friendly people, they are also quite helpful. the hostel is nicely located and quite close to everything nice to do in SP!

The California Hostel is amazing place to stay and have a great experience. For me was the best hostel in Pinheiros - SP. The stuff are friendly and speak English as well. The breakfast is fantastics and the rooms are perfect for different situation , you can share and make new friends or you can take a single room so nice. The Bruno was great for me! The staff are nice and the atmosphere is quiet and chilled out. The beds and pillows are very comfy. The breakfast is also good with delicious cake. Shops and cafe/bars are close by. Location is 20-30 minute walk from the metro station and to Vila Madelena centre. Bathrooms could be better, but they're ok.

Stayed here during my visit to Sao Paulo. The hostel has a great location, on a very good neighbourhood, close to bus stops and a metro station. It's very simple and easy to go to the best attractions in Sao Paulo. We even walked from the hostel to Paulista Avenue since we had time and wanted to explore further. Staff at the hostel is very nice. I booked a private room and it was great: clean and comfortable. The shared washrooms were also very clean. The free breakfast was a plus and they even offered freshly baked cassava bread. They let us store our luggage there and they even have a washroom we could use to take a shower after check-out. That was great since it was very hot and we were about to take an overnight bus, so we really needed a shower before hoping on the bus!

Good location in Pinheiros. Has lots of eating options within a few blocks. There's 2 buildings. The main one with the reception and the breakfast and some rooms. The other is newish and they've added the building next to it too. I stayed both times in the yellow one. There's a small kitchen where you can cook and store your fridge. A cozy living room and a nice outside deck. The rooms I stayed were small but with all I needed. Because the walls are made with timber I could hear people talking and/or doing more stuff. Sound isolation poor. The single newish room had no mirror (would have been nice) and the old single room had nowhere to hang clothes. Some bathrooms are good, others are missing a mirror or the water pressure is weak or other minor details easy to fix. Good security method to enter the building. It depends a lot who is staying at the same time cause the people I stayed the last night loved to bang doors (bathroom, room, main entrance) no matter the time of the day: zero consideration for other guests. Wifi worked great most times. Reception area is quite small.

It was bad experience there ,no one in that staf nice to me , they don't even say hello or smile , i can't sleep all nights cause of loud snoring of two guys ,it was terrible time for me there , i was so happy to left that place

Attentive staff, clean digs, great location that is safe and fun to walk around near, even at night. Very happy with the overall experience.
