Hostel Central

I never stayed there but lived very close by and parked my motorcycle for 2 years around here. Met so many interesting travelers from around the world and a few less than desirable people. The idea of my trash catapult was developed right here. Never to worry about taking out the trash. Just fire it off and goodbye downtown trash hello Elizabeth Taylor's restraunt.

Mainly didn't like the bathroom, full of hairs and other gross grimey stuff. I felt the managers were more interested in sitting around staring at the TV than providing any service and they were just plain awkward. But yeah it wasn't worst place I've stayed.

In two words, "the best". In all ways; this hostel - total eight beds - the host family, who live on the premises are welcoming and provide everything one could hope for or expect from this type of back-packing travel experience. The kitchen is fine and the outdoor terrace soothing and breezy. The location perfect, within few blocks of everything; the Inglesia, the square with performances, restaurants, pharmacies, shops and most important of all...the Malacon! For everythig else there are the local buses. BTW, all of the 'day trips' are worthwhile, but don't forget the 50-minute ride to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens which is amazing and wonderful!! (and plan to have lunch there; if you go on Sunday, there are some very talented musicians playing jazz, the Mexican way. P.S. the ONLY hing that would enhance this hostel experience even more is if the showers were upgraded.

Este verano del 2022 rentamos esta CASA COMPLETA, ahora llamada CASA FRIDA por medio de AIRBNB. Tuvimos una PESIMA y PREOCUPANTE situación en el último día de nuestra estancia una persona entro a la casa mientras todos dormíamos. Afortunadamente yo estaba dormida en la sala y lo encontré observando los cuartos fijándose quien estaba en los cuartos cuando le GRITE QUIEN ERES TU Y QUE HACES AQUÍ, cave resaltar que nosotros cerramos la puerta con llave. Lo que quiere decir que esta persona tiene llaves. Su escusa fue que tenía que recoger algo, tengan en cuenta que eran al rededor de las 5 a.m. Y LLEVABA UNA MOCHILA. Nunca nos avisaron que tenían que entrar a la casa por algo. Hable con el dueño de la casa y me dijo que el no había mandado a nadie. Le describí a la persona que entró, me dijo que no tenía ni idea de quien fue y que solo el y la persona de limpieza tenían la llave. TENGAN MUCHO CUIDADO AL RENTAR ESTE LUGAR. Yo viajaba con toda mi familia incluyendo menores. NO SE CONFÍEN AÚN QUE RENTEN por AIRBNB. Tampoco me quede satisfecha con lo que dijo el dueño, desperté a todos, preparamos maletas y nos fuimos de ahí. NUNCA VOLVERÉ A RENTAR ESTE LUGAR.
