Nice place. I really enjoyed being in a small town. Florence wasn't hard to get to, and the bus ride was beautiful. It seems they mostly have four bed rooms, so while we only needed one bed ( we put two twins together) we had to extras. It'd be great for a group of friends or a family. Breakfast was 3€ and was greatly meager, be we weren't there long enough to look for an alternative in town. The town is small, but has a few nice spots ( shops, restaurants) and there was a nifty market going on one night. We walked 2 km to a nearby medieval town, and went to a wine tasting which was fantastic. The people working were very helpful with planning and recommendations. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but they stayed perfectly tolerable in July. They keep the doors open often, which gets a nice breeze, but let's bugs in. The rooms also don't have wifi, but the lobby does. Overall I would stay here again, but probably only if I were splitting a room with three other people.

Nice pocket friendly hostel for night stay. Far away from crowds of Florence. Clean rooms with basic amenities. Owner is a very helpful guy! Thanks to him that he came to pick us up 5 km away from the hostel!

A very convenient hostel in an area where there's too few of them. Super friendly staff. The place is a bit cold in terms of atmosphere, but that's generally the case with Hostelling International hostels. There's no reason to stop in this village for backpackers, but it's a very convenient stop for cyclists.

Vibe of the hostel was great, travelers were all very friendly and congenital without it being a "party hostel" and the rules were lax. The showers were pretty poor though and in order for the rooms to be cool you need to open the windows which also let's in a large amount of beetles.

Hii friends, i visited this hostel last week. The hostel is actually at a very nice location and near to some of the historical places (San Gimignano and Wine Yards). The rooms were CLEAN enough and lockers to keep your stuff was also much spacious. Bathrooms, the most important was also clean although a little space to shower was more complicatedbut adjustable if you spend one or two nights atleast. No appliance to cook in kitchen but a microwave and oven were there to compensate. Enoough crockery to use. Nice dining and large dining room. Although less staff but the most important thing which a traveller find is they should be very helpful, cooperative and friendly. So, these points were fully covered by their staff and the host. Supermarket around the hostel was nice but according to me it was not as good to have some choices to eat different dishes if you dont like pizza and other italian cuisines. Rest, i would say you can book and spend some nights here to have an overall good experience.

For the price is a good place to stay. Only they have very early checkout at 10am and they literally make you leave by nocking on your door from 9:45, which is their right maybe but not very hospital, it would be better for them to extend the check out hour at Least to 11 am so you can leave calmly and less stressed.

Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced dorm beds, Hostel Chianti is located away from tourist crowds and the hub- hub of the city. If you have your own transport, it makes for the easiest way to get around; walking, though, offers taking in the medieval towns and countryside in at your own pace :) either way works! Maya and Declan are friendly, helpful and very welcoming! If you like horses, bikes and are curious about Tuscany, you will have much to talk of! Enjoy Chianti!
