This hostel is cheap, but you pay for what you get. You have to put your sheets on yourself, lockers were too small and the keys required an exchange change deposit. No space for bags, no curtains on top bunks, small beds and hard to get to the rooms. Bathrooms didn't have soap or mirrors. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're on a very tight budget. Staff were also not very friendly.

My friend & I both got sheets that were too short for our beds. We brought this up to the receptionist. After I showed him how the sheets were like 3 feet too short he said "well, I guess that's the way it goes sometimes." I asked if I could get another sheet to double them up and he said "I guess if you really want..." My friend later asked for the same and he said "Sure, but I wouldn't care if it were me." Before this he refused to help move my friend to the same room as me because he'd already printed her receipt, and "my boss doesn't like it when I have to change things after payment's been taken." My friend's room ended up being very, very smelly. Like sweaty sports clothes than had been sitting around. This seemed to be the fault of none of the current residents. Even after opening the window for several hours, their room still reeked. My room was much better. However, it was attached to the lobby which is also the lounge and people were watching football in there past quiet hours, which didn't bother me personally, but I mention because I know others might like a hostel that honors its own quiet hours. P.S. A very small thing that does not affect my rating at all, but in case they read this: if you're going to hand out a piece of candy upon check out, please give out something allergen-free & vegan. I assumed it would be such as a lollipop since most lollipops are, but upon checking it had lactose.

Beautiful, but needs to be taken care more: - It is a 4 floors building with no lift - only stairs - Mattress & pillows are old and very uncomfortable - Sheets are smaller than the mattress, so feels like just a piece of cloth to cover half of the space you need - Kitchen sink was broken during the 4 days I was there, we had to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink - They messed up with my reservation, had to change rooms - how did I know? When I arrived at my room, there were 5 ladies dressing up, they said because of the group, they moved my stuff to a storage room and I had to swap rooms - Toilet was lose in my new room - Shower head was not working properly - Weird smell everywhere, specially in the rooms - Internet connection 30%

My first day & night was ok. On the second evening I returned to my room with two friends, the hostel was quiet and we were looking forward to sleeping. When we got to our room the door was wide open, giving everyone in the building access to our belongings. There was blood smeared all over the floor, the beds and the bedsheets. I would upload photos, but the review may get removed. Later we were told that our roommates had been in an altercation with the security guards in the hostel. A hostel receptionist informed us that they were being disruptive and called security to "punish" them. Security had assaulted them in their beds (hence the red stained bedsheets), kicked them onto the street without their passports or clothes and stolen all the money from their wallets (Polish and otherwise). It is unnecessary to say, we did not sleep comfortably that night. The security at this hostel is a joke, they and bullies that mugged three of their guests. The staff were apparently shocked at the blood (which I doubt was genuine), when it came to checkout they charged the room a cleaning fee. It is a disgrace. The incident was handled terribly.

Close to the central train station but is currently opposite a building site with lots of construction noise. Lovely restaurants nearby. Bedding doesn't fit the mattress. Three people in the group were assaulted in their privately booked room by security after coming back from a night out. Cash was taken from their wallets, their clothes were used to wipe any blood off the floor, and they were thrown out of the hostel with the staff nowhere to be seen.

7/10 Safety should be a concern: the dorm area is always open and if you buzz the ringer you will be opened without being checked if you have a booking or not. Curtain only on the bottom bunk. A lot of tiny flies (50+) that buzz around the bed and covers if you turn the lamp on. That I could see there were only two showers (one in my dorm area and the other next to the reception), so i had to wait.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This hostel is incredibly unsafe, unsanitary and unmanaged. Two friends and I were beaten, robbed and forcibly removed by two huge men from an outside security company that were invited into the property and let into our locked private room by the lone receptionist whilst we were sleeping!||||
They entered without any warning and violently kicked at everyone whilst we were in our underwear asleep. We had not showcased any aggressive or threatening behaviour prior. They then screamed at us in polish, gesturing to get out. As we started to pack hurriedly whilst bruised and beaten, the unknown security guards continued to kick and punch. We couldn’t do anything but try to block and mitigate the continued attacks, as it was clear that we’d have likely ended up in hospital if we'd tried anything against these mammoths.||||
Whilst we were packing they went through our things, such as toiletries and wallets. All of our cash was taken and IDs were checked, presumably to see to what degree they could get away with more crime. One of the guards struck me in the face whilst I was packing, whereby my nose started bleeding profusely. They quickly donned latex gloves to minimise evidence of their presence and started to use my remaining unpacked clothes to clean up the blood that was uncontrollably going everywhere.||
||We were ushered out of the hostel and down the stairs, blood still flowing, left in the rain outside barefoot and half dressed to fend for ourselves. Fortunately, the third hotel we found took us in for the rest of the night.||||Our other friends staying in the same room returned later to find they had managed to clean most of the blood. Fortunately, they managed to secure the items we’d had to leave behind, such as a passport in one of the safes. They complained to the receptionist but were rudely dismissed.||||To be transparent, there had been a disagreement between two of us and the receptionist. On arrival to our private room, of which we had entered immediately, after we had closed the door to isolate any noise from speaking, he marched in aggressively to tell us that we were not allowed to be talking at all (we had of course booked a private room so that we could do so quietly without affecting other guests) and shouting (yes, ironic) about one of our other friends who had unfortunately been sick in a different private room the night before. That person had already apologised, cleaned and paid to cover new sheets, and the other staff who’d dealt with it were happy. We disagreed that we were causing an issue in our private room and explained that it was unfair to come at us so aggressively for an issue in another room that had already been dealt with.||||Why he decided to escalate like that out of the blue is shocking, childish and unprofessional. I have never encountered anything like that at dozens of other hostels around the world. We ended up going to talk on the terrace for a few minutes, as we weren’t allowed to in our room. He then disturbingly grinned and claimed that security would now come to "punish" us. Five to ten minutes later, once we were nodding off, he unlocked the door to our private room and let his lackeys in to do his dirty work. My guess is that he lied to them to rile them up, so that they would be unfathomably aggressive.||||The entire escapade was completely uncalled for and unnecessary. It could have ended the moment he came into our room with a polite and gentle word. The outcome was completely disproportionate and unacceptable.||||This hostel is a joke and should be shut down. Even days later, I still have cuts and bruises. Including a lovely shoe mark on my shoulder. I hope that you heed my warning, prioritise your safety and DO NOT STAY HERE!

The first night was ok... apart from someone throwing up from the top bunk but they cleaned that once they'd sobered up. It was the second night that was the problem, we were woken up by security ripping people out of their beds, and being robbed and kicked out, it's a good job you don't need cash anymore because they emptied their wallets, kicked them in the face, and dragged them out of the hostel. noone deserves this, and im sure they didnt because i didnt wake up to them being loud until the security came in and left blood everywhere.

Yelp
Booked via booking website and seemed good value for the money. Be advised that the refund policy is a catch 22. One asked the other to proceed with the claim. The rooms are clean due to the fact of having been recently refurbished. But even with double pane windows it is and stays noisy. More so if your neighbor slams the doors or speaks a little louder. One thing not mentioned in the policy was the deposit for the key (actually a badge in my case). In the end they didn't claim it more than that. Maybe just another try of ripoff. Just guessing though. The hood is hip with lots of restaurants and bars open late night. So maybe it's worth paying a bit more but staying in a real hotel with a breakfast included. The choice is the customers to get ripped off or not. Cheers

Yelp
I really liked the hostel, staff, facilities, breakfast, bathrooms, the only problem was that I have requested bottom bunk and they've confirmed, yet still I've got the top bunk, which I hate. Their response was that 'no one of staff has mentioned that in your booking.' Seems unprofessional.
