Hostel Cross

Well organized dormitory with privacy and space in the room. Excellent personal bathrooms inside and outside the room so you do not disturb others in early morning. Great location 5 min from the cathedral, on the street with restaurant, bars, shops. A bit annoying is automatic lighting when you move during the night - good energy saving solution, but not for people who has a bed just in front of the lamp :). But this is small thing, not really critical. Generally - great place.

It's a good albergue. Definitely noisy at night because of the location but for 14€ and a free beer and tapas on entry it was decent.

Stayed 18/06/25 - Checkin was self style, we asked at the bar below and he called someone to help. Very close to the centre and Cathedral as well as the bars in the backstreets. The room was clean and large with pod style beds and a en-suite. It’s a very noisy street, luckily we were tired. I wouldn’t recommend to older people or families due to noise but if you’re young then you can manage it and you wouldn’t wake anyone coming back from the bars due to the noise from outside anyway. Would stay here again but only with a group not doing a Camino

One of the few hostels open in the off-season. Self check in; bar staff very helpful with this. Clean rooms and bathrooms; no amenities. However, the loud music from the bar downstairs is audible all night in the hostel. So much for sleeping!

Much less clean than I expected. There were earplugs from previous visitor, little dirty items. Blanket was full of little insects. Sheets and towel are one use only very thin, I would say useless. And common spaces not so big, not kind of friendly to join a group. Toilets are very few if room is full and no one clean them along the day/even if paper finish keep till next midday. Even though the space for bed is nice, independent, furniture to use and leave all your stuff

Stayed for the better part of a week, staff were very kind and helpful. Staying in the pods was interesting and gives more privacy that normal for a hostel. Everything is modern and clean, power showers amazing for pilgrims. You can come in and out whenever you want with the keycard Negatives are the beds make a lot of noise when people move, and the rooms overlooking the bar and restaurant street below can be a little noisy. Overall a great place to stay and a great location in lugo, would definitely go again.

Sheets and pillowcases need replacing, clearly very worn. Stayed on a Tuesday night and couldn't sleep because of the music from the bar downstairs. Soundproof it!

The check in experience is a bit broken, but the managers at the bar downstairs were very helpful. Bathrooms were very clean, and beds are comfortable. However, common areas were not as clean as one would like (and thus the 4 stars).
