Good cheap hostel for a private room. Room smelled a bit damp and the staff weren’t super friendly though, but that’s probably time of year (February). Really good location for getting a quick bus or tram into the city centre.

If you’ve left a bad review on this place you’re too sensitive. Everything lived up to the standards. Clean room bath and facilities. Nothing to put your finger on. I stayed for 8 days and felt very at home, everybody working there is so nice. You have a locker plus an outlet, shelf and nightlight in your bed AND PRIVACY! If you ain’t cool with sleeping in the same room as other people, just get an airbnb instead🤷🏽

It was such an amazing time in the hostel !! The personal was friendly, especially Nour. All the staff was devoted to our well-being. They washed and cleaned the kitchen, living room and bathroom many times a day, so it was nice for hygiene. I also recommend it, because of the location just next to the tram and bus station. It is at thirty minutes from the downtown. Wonderful and original decoration and artistic walls painting. I highly recommend this cozy auberge !

The staff was nice. There was always free tea and water with lemon. The atmosphere was very friendly and you could talk to anyone. It's predominantly for people below 30. There was a nice bbq organized. Everything was clean. Only problem was the noise from time to time. People could be noisy after 12:00, but it was ok. Right above the hostel there was a hill from which you can see the whole city. I definitely recommend it!

As a solo traveler, I tried to pick a hostel that advertised activities to meet other people. This was advertised on Hostel Elf website: 3x dinners per week, happy hours, nights out. However, upon arrival, there were no dinners and happy hours. The hostel was filled with teen groups that would congregate in the hallway and make noise well past 1130pm, and be back doing the same at 730am. Midway during my stay, the closest toilet/shower was converted into private use only. In the private room I booked, there was only one outlet near the bed, which made it impossible to use the lamp and charge devices. WiFi did not connect in the room. Showers were okay but toilets were dirty. Reception was nice to be open 24/7, but I often felt uncomfortable walking in saying “hello” to get no response back. I was supposed to stay here my whole time in Prague but left midway through, taking the money I already paid as a loss.

If you're planning on coming here soon, please note that there are currently bed bugs. The staff was willing to help me get out, clean my belongings, and provided a refund. It seems like a nice place with nice people, but encountering something like bed bugs just completely ruins a vacation.

Pretty decent location and hostel. Clean. Easy to walk or get public transport into town. Ok nights sleep, mattresses are a bit thin. Not particularly social hostel for solo travel. Not really an ideal place to socialise and quite difficult to meet people here. Small kitchen area downstairs and more of a dinner than social area upstairs

Stayed 4 nights, it was a very good experience. Nice bedrooms with curtains, friendly staff, mostly considerate roommates and a very lively atmosphere. Showers and Toilets are outside the rooms, was sceptical of the number at first, but I never had to wait more than three minutes. Quite a nice location too, if you don't mind a bit of walking, it's less than 20 minutes away from the main station. If I'm back in Prague sometime in the future, I'll most likely stay there again

Yelp
The nicest staff ever!!!! I think his name was Ivan, let us check in at 6 am and gave us a place to sleep early. Everyone was very attentive and kind. Will definitely be back! Thank you!!!!

Yelp
One of the coolest hostels I've ever stayed in. A few friends and I were traveling around Eastern Europe and needed a place to stay in Prague. For $25 USD each (between the 4 of us), we got a 4 bedroom private room. Though the place gave off a grungy, hippy vibe, the place all around was very clean. Service was awesome and very accommodating. There were a ton of other travelers staying here at the time we checked in, which was a little overwhelming at first, but definitely got use to a bunch of new faces always around. The part we loved most about staying at Hostel Elf was how open and chill everyone was who stayed here. The first night, we met a ton of people by just keeping our door open. There was a bachelor party in the room next to us from Hamburg, Germany, so with our door open, they came over to say hi, bringing their liquor over to share. They have hostel events scheduled every day (like a bbq or game night), which is a great way to meet other travelers. They're totally optional, but I highly recommend making one of them. We met so many cool people, which let us following a group from the UK to a boat cruise on the river. It was amazing. Great service, cheap nightly prices, very clean, friendly open environment, and even a open bar with happy hour. It's in a pretty great location, which was not far from the central station. Talk about a travelers paradise.

Yelp
Really nice hostel with everything you need and really clean. Only two downsides are that it's not located directly in the city centre, a bit to walk and that the cleaning lady starts at 8am, which woke me up several times, but the rest was just perfect and affordable

Yelp
Lady at the receptionist was very accommodating and rooms/beds were clean. Quiet at night and free breakfast. Awesome place but a little far walk from metro or train. Otherwise would definitely come back

Yelp
Great hostel. Good service, cheap, good bear, happy hour and always crowded even in low season. But as most hostels don't expect to have a good internet connection.

Yelp
Amazing hostel, amazing experience here! It's a super cool hostel, incredibly friendly and helpful, and there's cool stuff to do like fusbal, a barbecue, movie nights, free buffet breakfast, free towels and all those little amenities, and it gives off a sort of hippie/loose vibe, but it's freaking dope! Pretty good location, it's near the train tracks, near a good view, and like a 25 minute walk to town, but it's totally worth it. Definitely staying here again if I come again, no doubt. Overall cheap as well. Perfect hostel.
