I'm writing on behalf of a lovely gentleman who stayed at this hostel and told me his story and I believe everyone should know: First it was difficult getting any accommodations in Sarajevo at the peak of the tourist season. But one nice young lady at hostel Barcelona called around and finally found availability in Hostel For Me. It looked passable and had a friendly young staff lady who spoke perfect English. The 8 bed dorms were nice and everything looked friendly and professional, but that was an optical illusion. By the time I came back after exploring the city, the hostel was full with random mattresses all over the floor and any corner you could find. By the next day, I returned from the city, I was thrown out of my room. The staff was no longer friendly nor professional. A woman who worked there yelled at me for trying to get into my dorm saying that I no longer stay in that room and that I can go find my backpack amongst the stack of them. Seems they packed my stuff themselves and I found a lot of things missing. As an older man, my most important possession was my medicine which I found out that they threw away. None of the tourists were informed that there would be a lot more people than 8 in the dorm nor that there would no longer be a living room but a room full of mattresses and people sleeping there. Later I found out that they were taking in refugees, I respect that decision but as a hostel they should have informed the tourists beforehand and most certainly not pack their belongings and throw away their valuables and most definitely NOT their medicine! I hope whoever reads this understands my horrible situation and see unprofessionalism and rudeness of this hostel. My advice is that you DON’T stay here.

Very clean hostel with very friendly and openmind staff. The hostel is new equipped with quality furniture. Double deck beds are very high to ensure enough place the downside sleeper as well. Bathrooms could be provided a little bit larger but doesnt mind. It is in 3rd floor, there is no lift. Open 24 hours with person of the staff on duty. I ll be back. :-)

I was very pleasantly surprised - the hostel room is new, clean and fresh. The location is directly in the city center, tram stop right behind the building. The most charming was the staff of the hostel - always helpful and friendly :) gave us an advice anytime we asked. I will always remember those amazing midnight coffee sessions with our receptionist - Thank you for the unique experience!

Hostel is located in old town, good location.||The owner & staff is very kind, friendly, helpful & nice people.||We are happy when owner give us a private bath room. ||The owner is allowed people smoking in property, suggest owner install an exhaust fan in kitchen to improve air circulation. ||I was scared when came back after exploring the city on 1st night, the hostel was full of mattresses and people sleeping all over the floor and any corner you could find, we suspect they are taking in refugees.||Feel unsafe for girl backpacker in alone, cos hold house is refugees in guy.

This was a nice, little hostel in the middle of the old town in Sarajevo. The only thing was the building got so dark at night with no lights, it was deserted and you had to climb 5 flights of stairs (no lift). Also the floor is noisy so walking on it always wake up everyone in the rooms. But the staff was really helpful and friendly. The place was really clean and new and spacious.

We stayed here two nights. The bed was good. The have a small kitchen but you can find everything you need there. Washer is provided with a small fee. But I must say the bathroom is too small, basically you need to jump over the toilet bowl to get to the bath. It is located on the 4th flood with no elevator in the building. Merima, Armin, and Darko were very helpful.

I got surprised right away..and I mean it in the best way. The warm welcome by cheerful and always helpful Elma was a great start to my Sarajevo experience. The hostel was nice and clean with pretty comfy mattresses and a family like atmosphere. The entire staff did everything to make the stay great. Keep it up guys ;)

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice location in old town, but several km from the bus station and a little challenging to find at night.||||Pretty nice facilities, but no personal lights in the dorm room, just one overhead florescent so the dorm room is either entirely dark or entirely lit. ||Another major weakness: smoking is permitted in the dining room, just off the kitchen, so if you do not like 2nd hand smoke, this hostel may not work for you while you are preparing or eating meals.
