Hostel Franz Ferdinand

With a wall-to-ceiling enlarged photo of the sinking of Lusitania right beside my bed (and yes with also many other enlarged scenes of WWI pretty much everywhere on more than one floor), it was an average-to-good stay at this hostel, I would say, with also an en-suite bath (just for the 4 people in my room) & a kitchen area outside at a corner. And also located at just few-minute walks from the city's "main cathedral" & the iconic Gazi-Husrev beg Mosque on the "old-town side" (to the left after coming out of this place), also on the "opposite side" are a nice small "breakfast bakery" (a subsequent left turn after an initial right turn after coming out of this place, then just across the street from like an open-market of fruits & vegetables) and a mini-supermarket (a subsequent right turn after an initial right turn after coming out of this place, then just on the same side of the street after a short walk).||Just a bit on the downside though was the reception not being open starting in like the early evening, but yes I was impressed by the "quite-detailed instructions" in the email from the hostel staff here regarding the check-in procedure.

Great hostel located in the center of town. Everything is walking distance, the train station is a 30 minute walk away and the airport is around 40 minutes on a bus. The customer service is great, I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Air conditioning is nice and beds are comfy.

The entrance door to this hostel is not that obvious and easily missed it. The room i booked was a twin bed room with private bathroom. The room is not that clean but not dirty as well. Consider the good location of this hostel, it is convenient as all attractions are just 5 min walking. The receptionist lady was kind enough to let us take shower after we check out, as we have night bus.

One Staff Girl, with white hair and her age from 35 to 40 I guess, she is very rude and he has bad attitude. Im just asking for something but she doesn't know how to communicate properly I think the management should know about this. But the other staff are super good. The location, the beds are comfy and I can suggest. Must book this hostel highly recommended.

A wonderful place to stay. The staff and fellow guests here make this one of the friendliest hostels I have ever stayed in. I really enjoyed chatting with some wonderful people while I was here. It's a great place for relaxing, with an arty vibe all around and quiet, comfortable common areas. I had a private room upstairs which had an interesting design (chairs under a raised bunk bed). The hostel is also right next to the main pedestrian lane in Sarajevo, and easy to walk everywhere in the old town. Tram stops are just a minute or two away as well. Definitely stay here!

Perfect location in the centre of old town near the bus stop and 15 minutes from the new town on foot. It was clean and comfortable. Svetlana and the other staff helped us with everything. If you consider booking a hostel, you need to book this one, highly recommend!

Lovely welcoming hostel, has separate couple rooms with ensuite. It was spotlessly clean, warm and cozy. The bed was really comfortable, plenty of hot water. The staff are very helpful and friendly as were any other traveller's we saw. Very good value, highly recommend staying here. The place was slightly hard to spot. Basically you are in the street and need to look for 2 large white doors. Look closely at the name plate on the door. Hostel FF is there but is small!

We stayed in the hostel recently. My friends were ill due to previous food poisoning and the hostel staff were very kind. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen facilities good. The staff, specifically Adis and Svjetlana, are very friendly and made our stay, even showing some good bars in Sarajevo. Finally, the location is perfect. 😊
