Overall a decent stay.
The hostel is tidy, and with the right roommates, it can be pleasantly quiet. Beds are fine, though you only get one small pillow—which doesn’t offer much support (and definitely won’t help block out snoring roommates).
I did end up with some slightly odd long-term guests, but to be fair, that kind of thing happens in any hostel.
The vibe is on the quieter side socially, which I personally liked—it’s more laid-back than party-oriented. But that really depends on your preference. If you’re looking to meet people constantly, this might not be the most buzzing place.
Main criticism is around cleanliness.
Cleaning feels very surface-level. My first room (a 6-bed dorm) had old rubbish left behind from previous guests, which just kind of stuck around unless someone took the initiative. And with the tiny room bin, that rarely happened. The fridges also had a suspicious smell—either from overcrowding or food slowly dying in the back.
The kitchen is mostly air fryers and microwaves. Some guests don’t clean up after themselves (as expected), but I also saw staff toss visibly dirty cutlery straight back into drawers—so definitely check before using anything.
But is it worth the price?
Yeah—if you compare it to the other hostels in the city, it holds up. Just come in with realistic expectations around hygiene and social energy
Personally switched to roommates vs a longterm stay and only because it’s way cheaper.
