Firstly, the price advertised on Hostelworld differed from the price upon arrival due to the daily exchange rate used, resulting in an unexpected £11 charge. I also overheard this happening to other guests, suggesting this may be a common occurrence. The accommodation was overpriced for its condition. The kitchen was not consistently clean, and the cookware was in poor condition. There was often a shortage of dishes, and those available were old. The bathrooms also lacked cleanliness and were outdated. The shower temperature fluctuated between extremely hot and lukewarm. The duvets were unpleasant to the touch and appeared old. The building's echo made it difficult to sleep due to noise from doors and toilets. Finally, a significant portion of the staff were unhelpful and impolite. If comparable hostels in the area were available, we would not return; however, the high cost of accommodation in Patagonia limited our options.

We stayed at this hostel twice, once when we first arrived and again when returning from El Chalten before our flight. The staff is extremely nice and attentive. There were a lot of families/kids during our stay but the hostel was very quiet at night so if you’re looking for a more social hostel this one probably isn’t for you. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The beds are bit creaky though. There’s a huge grocery store only a 5 minute walk away. Overall, we loved our stay!

I stayed in a private room here for 4 nights Jan 2024. The room was clean, ample power outlets, big window, abuts the main area so could get loud, but fine during sleeping hours. Washrooms were typical, clean! Breakfast was included - simple toast and coffee, juice. Location: 10 minutes to downtown on foot. Overall: great experience! Not the most social hostel, but they have the friendliest cat ever. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a quiet place that’s affordable.

Had a great time here. Has a good kitchen, so we cooked everyday. The dinning room is beautiful and has a nice atmosphere. Staff is really professional and very friendly. Proper good service! Loved it. It is 10 minutes away from main road with a beautiful view. Nearby is a huge supermarket.

Hostel Keu Ken in El Calafate is a convenient — breakfast included stopover uphill for those visiting Los Glaciares National Park and El Chaltén, as most tour agencies offer pick-up services. The hostel is located a short walk from La Anónima grocery store, making it easy to buy and store food for cooking. The hostess was very friendly and helpful with questions and recommendations. I stayed for 4 days and found the atmosphere calm during the day and chatty common areas in the evenings, though I'm afraid there is a quiet hours policy at night. The shared bedrooms include lockers for your belongings. While I would have appreciated more comfortable beds and better-maintained shared bathrooms for the price, the facilities were adequate. The heater was really effective at night. Overall, a decent place for travelers passing through!

I had such a wonderful stay here! The hostel is very nicely furnished, has a gorgeous view of Lake Argentina (amazing whilst eating breakfast) and the hostel staff are so lovely. They were very helpful with booking tours, taxis, restaurant and general advice for our first stop in Argentina. The hostel is atop a hill behind the Main Street and it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the centre of town. The dorm rooms provide just what you need and are nice and warm on a cold Calafate night. The hostel provides free breakfast, optional dinner cooked by the amazing owners and lunch boxes for tours. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again!

Only a 15 min walk from downtown, but you will find here a nice hostel with good service and a fantastic view over the lake !! Staff helped us a lot to set up or visit to the glaciar perito moreno, it made it so easy for us to enjoy our stay ! Thank you again ! Rooms and bathrooms are clean and breakfast much appreciated as well!
