Hostel Inn Zona Rosa

The place is really good located... Close to the embassies, restaurants & transportation... with a good price.. Nevertheless, the cleaning is terrible. I found a brush & bottles of soda under the bed from the previous occupants. The second time, I found a used condom in the side table... The owners have a dog, that stays in the lobby & barks all day long.... and the last... the people taking care of the place stayed watching TV with the loudest volume until 2 am??? when it's a small house and it keeps you awake. It's a good place, but there are some details that need to be polished.. .especially the cleanness

This place has the atmosphere of a bathroom. The central area is a set of fire escape stairs that they have put a roof on the top floor to make it enclosed. |They do not give any keys to the dorm room or front door so you have to buzz them all the time to let you in. When I came back the same evening after checking in earlier in the afternoon with a different person I was told that I was not a guest there.|When I asked if they had a common room or lounge she said there are chairs on the rooftop.|In the ground floor bathroom you have to walk through the wet shower area to get to the toilet & basin.|I could not wait to get out of there.

They put me in a room right across from the lobby. The window faced the lobby as well. The room was tiny. I asked the girl to move me to another room even if it cost more. When I heard the price ($40 dollars) for a private I considered moving out the next day. I was by myself so the price was a bit much for me. The room can easily fit 3 people. When I walked around I realized I was in the best area so decided to just suck it up. ||||The staff was very friendly though not too knowledgable about the area. Her English was excellent. They were doing construction in the building and by the entrance so the bar was closed. ||||Though I didn't have a horrific experience, I would try something else. Just make sure to stay near Zona Rosa which is near the Embassy, Chapultepec, and the ancient city (this is where the historic sites are). That is if your trip will be short in DF and you want to make the most of it.||||If you do stay here, walk to El Angel de la Indepencia and you will find a tourist info booth there. They will provide you a tourist map. Don't fall on the trap! They will offer tours for astronomical prices in comparison to actual cost. I was offer a package to the pyramids for about $90-120 dollars. I actually spent about $10 on my own by taking public transportation. Thats including food. They will also try to convince you not to take the bus because its too long of a ride and all the nonsense. It's about 1hr ride and the bus drops you off right by the entrance.||||I was shock at how little $ I spent in DF with the amount of things I got done. Do your research.||||For breakfast I recommend Cantina restaurant on Amberes 77. The food is delicious and cheap.||||I recommend you go to the ancient city first. The amount of sites is truly overwhelming. This is coming from someone who was raised in NY. A lot of the sites are by the Zocalo.||||Second day go to the Pyramids in Teotihuacan. It's truly a unique experience. I went early to make time for the Frida Kahlo museum. It was hike but worth it.||||Third day go to Chapultepec. It's about 20 minutes walk from Zona Rosa. There's a ton of things to do there. The infamous Anthropology museum is around Chapultepec. ||

We stayed one week beginning of January and had a very pleasant time in Hostel Inn Zona Rosa. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They even organized to give us a lift to the Airport! I also loved the hostel dog, Dascha! The facilities are basic but very clean! Thank you for everything! Helga and Daniel from Berlin

I've been traveling a lot around the world and stayed in a lot of hostels and was very disappointed with this hostel. First of all: It was very difficult to find at the end of a dark alley. We didn’t get a key of the front door, so we had to hope that anybody was awake when we came back from diner. Shower was potential dangerous; you had to take care not to get electrified by the shower-head!? And when we wanted to leave our luggage there during the day, they charged use with 30 MX$ per Piece. When I stay at a hostel for around 650 MX$, I'd expect this service to be included. One tip: stay somewhere else in the Zona Rosa.

This a family owned hostel that gave us an excellent service; a friendly 24-hr front desk assistance that always greets you with a smile. Excellent location in the heart of Zona Rosa, close to restaurants, clubs, museums etc.but at the same time is away from the noise of the street and loud music thanks to its location, kinda cul-de-sac location. We stayed there March 7-10-2013

Spent 45 minutes looking for this place is located in an alley- currently no signs on the building, in the alley, or on the adjacent street. none of the local business nearby seemed to know of it either. Just look for a door with a little trip advisor sticker on it. ||wanted 500 pesos for a private room so opted for a dorm. We turned down the first one, a 6 bed dorm because it smelled like a turkish prison and had no ventilation. The second, a 4 bed dorm was also sealed up but we were alone. water pump was in the floor of the first floor ioutside the room clicking on once in a while. electric showers that barely worked, but clean anyway. neighborhood looked fun but we left in search of a better value.

Hard to find, bad shower, no common area. But nice lockers and very quiet at night.
