Let's start with the positive points. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, they provide you with good advice about things to do in Ushuaia and around and about good (and cheap) places to eat. They give you a map and show you where you can find everything. If needed, they can arrange your activities with tour agencies and make their best to suit your schedule. Monica at the reception remembers your name and calls you so which is very friendly. Their English is good, it makes communication easy. Also the breakfast is great for a hostel. Every morning around 8am someone comes to dress the tables and to bring the food. Oranges are provided to make your own fresh orange juice. Same principle with eggs: DIY. There are also bread with dulce de leche, butter or marmalade, cereals, and different drinks (coffee, tea, milk chocolate). The kitchen is clean and fun to look at with hundreds of words from guests on the walls. This is also where you get to meet people. Upstairs there is a living room with a TV and very basic sofas. The wifi works fine and it is always warm inside (important after a day outside in Ushuaia). These different things made our stay (2 nights) enjoyable. The bad side now is that our room was not comfortable at all. My 2 friends and I were in a 6 persons dorm (3 bunk beds) with a private bathroom. It looks really old and there is no much light. It wasn't dirty but it looks so. Mattresses are terrible. You don't feel like hanging out there very long. Just enough to sleep and take a quick shower. The bathroom doesn't have any window which makes it very humid. Then, the location isn't perfect either. Although not so far from the city centre (15min walk), it is not so convenient at night if you want to go out. Finally, the price was 250 AR$ per person per night which is the highest rate we have had during our entire trip in Argentina.
