Place is very safe and clean. Shared rooms are available with nearly 20 beds.But rooms are not full every time. Very good place to stay one or two nights. There are free lockers which you can use your own locks and keys ,kitchen with all equipments and bathroom with more separated shower rooms. Nice 24 hours staff service. Specially good for young people. Not enough good to staying with babies.

The hostel was very clean and comfortable. With the prices you pay I must say it's nice to stay for a couple of nights. Despite many people the facilities were enough. Breakfast was okay but at such cheap price one cannot expect more. Kitchen and locker facility is available. They also kept our bags after check out so that we can visit places freely. On a whole I would recommend people who don't want to spend more only on sleeping.

It's a nice place just to spend couple of nights. The dorms are very huge. The one I was in had a constant buzzing sound. I do find it weird to pay for sheets, pillows and duvets. Never seen this. People were nice. The common Hall is good. The toilets and kitchen was clean.

Superb place. Booked in no problems at all. Slept like a log in the massive four post bed in the air conditioned room after a steaming hour long shower in a cubicle that no one had probably used as a toilet before. Then I woke up and indulged in the luxuriant breakfast. Guzzled it down. A man slept on top of my four poster to make sure I was safe.

Great valuable hostel with friendly staff and travellers. Bike storage, good variety of board and table games. Shower is good and the place isn’t noisy. Central Rotterdam is nearby too! The only downside are the beds which are a little uncomfortable.

I hate to say this, but this was the worst hostel I've been to. Very poor hygiene, with dirty toilets and floors that are disgusting. Maybe a coincidence but I got sick after staying here. Get this, you wear a wristband as security and there are no locks on any doors. There are plastic mattresses, making you hear everytime somebody turns in their bed. In my room, there were also windows that could not close, making it impossible to sleep. There were also ALMOST NO ELECTRICITY SOCKETS! Breakfast is not noteworthy, the whole bunch they throw there probable costs less than 10 euros - bread and stuff to put on it and tea and coffee. With having to pay 5 euros for sheets, you don't get what you pay for. I won't ever go again. Rather pay much more, but not risk disease and theft.

The service is fantastic, especially keeping in mind that the staff is made up of mostly volunteers. Today a staff member was getting ready for an interview with an architecture firm. I use that experience as an example to readers to be considerate of these people who come here to volunteer from all around the world. The common areas are acceptable and nice to hangout in. Very relaxed vibe. Good music. Plenty of big picnic tables in the rec room for organizing and maintaining your gear. Nice walk there from Rotterdam Centraal. In a great central location and surprisingly very quiet. A hostel for those traveling with a backpack.

I really like the hostel, the breakfast and the atmosphere,. At least one of their receptionists has the aggressive and rude behaviour of a warden, which is not acceptable to me. They have long term guests, one of which is stereotypical aggressive, yet they suspected me of messing with their 7 days maximum stay policy, when I booked 2 nights, went to Amsterdam for a week and then booked 5 nights, which is 7 and within their policy but I was interrogated for this.

Hella cheap army barracks style hostel with 0 personal privacy but at least they have free board games

Hostel in what used to be a school building. It is very large and is probably the lowest priced hostel in The Netherlands. There is a very basic free breakfast, pool table, nice sized lounge as well. The area is close to the train station but can be kind of sketchy at night but their security is decent. Beds are very basic in large rooms. Recommended for value

You can reach this hostel by feet, ten minute walking from Rotterdam Central Station (back output). Grunge habitat. Common space with sofas, available kitchen, games. Bathrooms shares, males and females. Showers shares, both sexes (with closed cabins). WiFi. (Often overloaded. Modem to restart to be able to connect.) Sheets for rent (5 euro all) Towels for free. Hairdryer. Informations and maps. Close office where you can left luggage or something you want to save. Open till 01:00, than you ring and the doorkeeper let you get in. Clean enough. Really cheap. A real hostel.
