Probably one of the best I've stayed. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The showers are overall good, hot water and the place was very well heated so it felt cozy for most parts. The cleaning is also good, not only in the common areas but also the rooms and especially the bathrooms. One of the staff members, a girl from Chile, she always kept the place so clean. They have free breakfast every morning and it's good. My only complaint is about the dorms, I think you could give a key to every guest so we could lock the doors in our rooms, there was a guy who wasn't in our room but he would enter every night to talk to a friend, it didn't feel so safe having that guy entering the room whenever he wanted to. Location is like 4km from old town, it's walkable but there's a bus stop nearby and Uber and bolt are quite cheap. For me it was perfect, it felt more like a home so I could chill and relax during my stay there. If I'm ever around Gdansk again, I know where to look

Awesome place to stay, even in off season. The staff are great, the bus station is around the corner with frequent buses, and the hostel itself has a great atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough, especially if youre solo traveling

This was my best hostel experience in europe so far. Everyone was super nice, staff and guests alike. Very nice and homey feeling, makes you feel safe and welcome. The laundry service was very helpful and affordable. The common area had a large collection of DVDs and also CDs which came in handy. I got a private because I needed a short break from dorms after a month of traveling and hostel hopping and I still got to know a lot of people since the common area was so much fun to hang out in. I needed to extend unexpectedly and was easily accomodated. And finally, they have a lovely cat that's well loved and friendly. (He doesn't stay inside the hostel building but in another one, in case you're allergic). Thank you very much for a lovely stay, I'll definitely be back my next time in Gdansk. 💜

The hostel was impressively clean, making for a comfortable stay. The person at the reception is incredibly cool and friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. As a lovely touch, they gave us stickers and sweets as a goodbye gift, which added a personal and memorable touch to our departure. Additionally, the breakfast included was a great start to the day. The other guests were also very respectful, creating a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Overall, "Mamas and Papas" exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay.

This is a great find. Was only here two nights but made a few pals and had nice conversations. The place is well set up for this. Free breakfast! And free towel. Free tea and coffee. They look after you here. ▫️ Location is not bad, it’s quiet, and there are loads of buses that go regularly into the centre. There are two grocery stores a short walk away. The 10/10 staff seem keen to help you find your way. ▫️ Best shower I’ve had in weeks - big droplets :) It’s a very clean hostel with comfortable rooms and homely common areas. There’s two kitchens, three levels and a bunch of bathrooms. ▫️ I wouldn’t say it was easy to work from here, a bit cramped, but very doable. Wifi was almost perfectly stable, but not quite. Would absolutely stay here again. In fact I’d be annoyed if it was booked out.

Great little place, friendly staff. Kitchen is a really awkward design meaning only 1 person can use at a time. Also the beds seemed to retain body heat but it was 30 plus so maybe that is why.

Great hostel with an extremely vibrant community of travelers. If you want to socialize this place is the best one in town, plus the owner is so nice.
