The hostel is perfectly good with good facilities and a good breakfast. I had an unfortunately negative experience with a male member of staff (not the manager) who was very rude and dismissive as I tried to ask a simple question. He was saying “ciao” in a scranton way over and over while i was talking like a teenage girl to her mother. Quite the souring experience with such a rude man. But every other staff member was incredibly kind and helpful with amazing recommendations so it does make up for it. The rooms and facilities are perfectly fine and the location is good near the station. And the door is accessible 24/7 which is amazing. You aren’t allowed in your room between 10:30 and 2:30 every day which is something to keep in mind! Overall the hostel is great minus that one man.

Solo Female Traveller: Stayed at this hostel twice. Staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions I had about the city (transport, things to do etc). ||Distance: The hostel is a short 10/15-minute taxi ride to the airport and only a 5-minute walk to the central train station & bus depot. When leaving Naples Hostel staff phoned me a taxi which helped with ensuring a rate was set. The hostel allowed me to leave my bags at reception during the day as I had a late flight out of the city. The hostel is walking distance to the port and historic district (15-20 minutes). Otherwise, you can catch the metro (only 5 min walk from the hostel. ||Dorms: Dorms were cleaned daily. Small lockers for backpacks and valuable items. Bring own lock otherwise you can buy some at the desk. Stayed in female only dorm and found it quite comfortable with no issues.||Food: Breakfast is provided in the morning. Continental style breakfast (Fruit, toast, cereal etc). Coffee and tea available. ||Social: The hostel provides some alcoholic beverages and snacks for an evening get together (Aperitivo) allowing people to meet each other. Although I did not get a chance to attend the hostel do organise group day trips around Naples, which is a great way to see a bit of the area with other travellers. ||Price: I found the pricing budget friendly and for what the hostel offers - good value. ||Be mindful: The area can be dangerous at night. I would advise to try be back at the hostel before sunset, or otherwise stay very vigilant and travel in a group after dark. During the day I felt safe walking to the train station or towards the historic centre but I do advise caution as there are lots of people around and potential pickpockets. As with most cities, there is rubbish about so be mindful walking and when transporting your luggage. ||Aside from the caution required when walking around some the initial streets/area near the hostel. I would most definitely stay here again - as the hostel offers great security and point of call to speak to staff for assistance navigating the city, getting to the airport etc. Thankyou for a fantastic stay Hostel Mancini!! :)

I had a great time there! The staff in the hostel were very nice and helpful, they give me a map with places to see, explained how to get there and give tips about the city. The breakfast was great also and everybody was friendly. The hostel was nearby the train station and the center, so was easy to see the city and pompei. I recommend it!

The room is okay. The staff is fairly nice. It near the train station with a lot of pickpockets nearby which was quite dangerous for people who travel alone. It was a bit hard to find the hostel. The breakfast is fine. I just stay for one night and leave early in the morning, so not much to comment.

One of the workers was staying in my room and she was the most inconsiderate person I’ve ever seen, she would consistently come in at 3am and open the windows letting all the bugs in waking everyone up if she didn’t do it then she would do it early morning when everyone is sleeping, all of her stuff was scattered across the room so no one else had anywhere to put their things, I was on the bunk above her and there was a side table full of her things directly underneath the ladder to get up and down the bunk meaning I had to jump across the room every time I needed to move, when they tell you to leave the room at 1030 every day for the cleaner ignore it it’s a 50/50 that they even come in and then they just do what they feel like cleaning wise, everyday it got worse with them, I had walked out my room at 130 one of the days and they were still cleaning the toilet kind you they’re supposed to start cleaning 3 hours prior. If you want to cook the facilities are okay but the workers just sit in the kitchen staring at you the whole time

I only stayed 2 nights, in general the experience was good. The place is always clean and the breakfast is really good. The location is good, but the surroundings are not that good to walk around at late hours alone. The only problem that I had was that my second night the staff moved my things to another bed because apparently I was assigned to another one, but that was not my problem and was bad organization from the staff. They never asked for my permission to do that, only left a paper in a rude manner. I complaint the next that and it was hard to get an apology from them. Other than this, all good.

Hostel was very near to central station. Just walkable to port and shopping street. Important thing is very near to the famous pizzeria michale . Room was spacious and Ac was good. Bathroom and toilets are very clean. Receptionist is very friendly they give city tourist map and explained clearly. I recommend this hostel very affordable to stay. Only concern is bathroom is having only one for a floor. Otherwise perfect. Ya definitely I would like to stay again

Yelp
Room is relatively suitable .. with alright air conditioning .. breakfast in the morning 8-10 not a bad spot .. older gent behind the desk with the big white beard is a rude dickhead type presence- type to complain at you till you're worried he'd have stroke at for you breathing wrong; good spot To stay if you don't deal with some of the staff If anyone knows how to say fuck yourself in Italian let me know - one star for bad experience with staff and cheaper and more local options available

Yelp
I have been here this summer 2020 and the place was fantastic despite the obvious and fair rules to follow due to the pandemic. The owners and the staff were all delightful. Thanks for all the tips :)

Yelp
Good location near the train station, the staff was very helpful, friendly, and flexible, and the room met all expectations. Comfortable and casual common spaces, and even some food/snacks were provided during my stay. For the very low price there is probably nothing better around.

Yelp
Okay hostel. Area is totally sketchy though; if you can help it, get here before dark. You have to ring the bell every time you want to get in, and there's no room key either; last person who leaves takes the key to the reception, and if you're the first person to the room, you get the key from the reception. Interesting system. The beds are alright but a bit creaky, and the blankets are warm. It's next to a street that was having construction when I went though, so it was a bit noisy. The bathroom is inside the room, but the light for the bathroom and the shower are super loud. There are lockers that you need to bring locks for (as usual). They provide breakfast, which is toast and a variety of spreads, cereal, tea, and coffee, and there's a fully functional kitchen and eating area. Staff is pretty friendly though!

Yelp
A nice hostel in Naples. More of a "keep to yourself" vibe than I'm used to, and in a fairly loud/busy part of town, but nice accommodations nonetheless. Easy in and out of the train station, which is great because nobody comes to Naples to stay in Naples. Easy access to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi coast, and isle of Capri. The owner knows his stuff, ask him for advice on what to do. With the metro so close you can get around town to the great pizzerias.

Yelp
Somewhat poorly maintained hostel in a questionable neighbourhood with cheap, shaky bunk beds and LOTS of street noise. I found a shaving razor on the shower floor, but I suppose that's the fault of the guest rather than the establishment itself. Other problems are the lack of night life (lame common area and no bar) and lots of rules: the staff evacuate the hostel whenever the cleaning staff come.
