We stayed two nights in this hostel, which truly made our trip to Naples excellent. Perfectly located between the train station and the city center. The building is very secure, with easy and convenient access at any time of the day or night. The rooms were comfortable, with a nice bathroom. The staff were perfect and extremely welcoming, especially the lady in charge of breakfast – an absolute sweetheart. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the hostel for 2 nights. It is only a 5 minute walk from the central train station, which is very convenient. However, the area around the hostel is very dirty and not a place I felt safe in as a young woman. I shared a room with three other men. On both nights, the 3 of us couldn’t sleep as one of the men snored incredibly loud ( this isn’t the hostels fault) but it’s important to mention that the rooms are very basic (bunkbeds without curtains or a light). There is one shared bathroom + a toilet. They were ok. The people working at the hostel were very kind and helpful though! The common areas were nice (though they have certain times you can or cannot use them) and the breakfast is basic but does the job. The kitchen is very clean and can be used after 2pm. Overall, I would recommend the hostel, but be aware that the area is not very nice.

Hostel manicini is a 1-star hotel located in the gentrified, modern city centre of Naples. This is an unfortunate case where there isn't any one specific, big problem, but rather a bunch of small problems that add up and make the stay uncomfortable. We stayed for two nights in a double room with a shared bathroom. We arrived at early morning, and the hotel manager was kind enough to allow us to take coffee from the breakfast. Our room was decent - it didn't have any special amenities, merely hangers and a small table. Later at night, we discovered problems: 1. The "shared bathroom" is quite literally one toilet and one shower+toilet, which are only cleaned once (!!!) a day. 2. In the sinks, there's no hand soap nor anything to allow you to dry your hands. 3. The floor is slippery and the only water absorbing mat is very small and stinky. Very, very stinky, to the point of unusabilty. 4. Even though you aren't officially required to leave your room if you're in a double room, the hostel is essentially unusable during that time. The cleaning lady didn't let us use the bathroom or gave us weird looks and was rude when I wanted to brush my teeth. To deny acess to toilets is completely unacceptable, especially considering there aren't any other toilets available to guests except the ones they're assigned to. 5. The AC kept switching to low power mode by itself constantly and regardless of room temperature. It worked well when it did but it was very hard getting it to work for the whole night. 6. Rental towels are low quality and thin Barely enough for tall people let alone ones with long hair. 7. Curtains were not dark enough to keep the light from outside out during the night. This was extremely disappointing to find out. The location, as others pointed out, isn't the best there is. Some walk to Napoli centrale for metro and a lot of busses nearby, but the area is very dirty and essentially becomes a market during daytime at summer.

A cozy hostel with clean and great quality rooms positioned close to the train station. Serves as a great hub to get around. The service was great, and the staff were wonderful. They also offer great information of the best places to eat, visit or just get around. In a town where transport can be confusing, learning the fastest and most efficient ways to get to where you want to go is crucial. They also offer awesome events and guides for the hostel lead by wonderful people creating good vibes. If I come back to Naples, I know where to stay 👍🏻

It is located in a convenient location only 5-10 mins from central station which is next to Garibaldi station and near the bus station. I arrived by bus from another part of Italy and took the airport bus when I left, both locations easy to walk to. Being so close to the station was convenient for day trips, eg Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum. The neighborhood is a typical city centre location with the streets being busy with shops and street vendors. There are shops selling groceries including fruit and vegetables in the same street. I was apprehensive due to some comments in reviews but as a solo female traveler I had no concerns for my safety even when walking back to the hostel after dark as the streets were still so busy. Just need the standard common sense. The hostel is easy to find as there is a big signpost on the street. The front door is secure and inside is safe and comfortable. Corridors and rooms have keycard access. The shared female dorm room had 5 beds and an en-suite showroom. Bring your own padlock for lockers. Bring an eye mask if you are bothered by light as the curtains are thin and the streetlights directly outside the window meant the room was never dark. The building walls are so thick there is no street noise when the window is closed. The small kitchen was convenient for cooking. Great that a continental breakfast was included. There were no washing machines for use but a laundry service for 15 euros. WiFi reliable. You need to vacate the rooms at 10:30 each day for cleaning but there is a dining room and lounge to hang out in. I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

The host was super friendly and welcoming, he personally helped me plan my time in Italy. The tour with Melanie was a lot of fun and the overall vibe was pretty social. The kitchen area is nice and useful. Everything is clean, safe, and in good condition. The cons for me: AC could be better. Also, they make you completely leave the hostel from 10:30 to 14:00 for cleaning, even if you’re not checking out. You can’t even stay in your own bed. I have stayed in many many hostels and have never came across such a policy. As someone who likes to take his day slowly sometimes and chill in the hostel, this would have been a dealbreaker had I known beforehand. Just keep this in mind

Yelp
Room is relatively suitable .. with alright air conditioning .. breakfast in the morning 8-10 not a bad spot .. older gent behind the desk with the big white beard is a rude dickhead type presence- type to complain at you till you're worried he'd have stroke at for you breathing wrong; good spot To stay if you don't deal with some of the staff If anyone knows how to say fuck yourself in Italian let me know - one star for bad experience with staff and cheaper and more local options available

Yelp
I have been here this summer 2020 and the place was fantastic despite the obvious and fair rules to follow due to the pandemic. The owners and the staff were all delightful. Thanks for all the tips :)

Yelp
Good location near the train station, the staff was very helpful, friendly, and flexible, and the room met all expectations. Comfortable and casual common spaces, and even some food/snacks were provided during my stay. For the very low price there is probably nothing better around.

Yelp
Okay hostel. Area is totally sketchy though; if you can help it, get here before dark. You have to ring the bell every time you want to get in, and there's no room key either; last person who leaves takes the key to the reception, and if you're the first person to the room, you get the key from the reception. Interesting system. The beds are alright but a bit creaky, and the blankets are warm. It's next to a street that was having construction when I went though, so it was a bit noisy. The bathroom is inside the room, but the light for the bathroom and the shower are super loud. There are lockers that you need to bring locks for (as usual). They provide breakfast, which is toast and a variety of spreads, cereal, tea, and coffee, and there's a fully functional kitchen and eating area. Staff is pretty friendly though!

Yelp
A nice hostel in Naples. More of a "keep to yourself" vibe than I'm used to, and in a fairly loud/busy part of town, but nice accommodations nonetheless. Easy in and out of the train station, which is great because nobody comes to Naples to stay in Naples. Easy access to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi coast, and isle of Capri. The owner knows his stuff, ask him for advice on what to do. With the metro so close you can get around town to the great pizzerias.

Yelp
Somewhat poorly maintained hostel in a questionable neighbourhood with cheap, shaky bunk beds and LOTS of street noise. I found a shaving razor on the shower floor, but I suppose that's the fault of the guest rather than the establishment itself. Other problems are the lack of night life (lame common area and no bar) and lots of rules: the staff evacuate the hostel whenever the cleaning staff come.
