Its a fine hostal, the matres is thine but you can request a second one if you want to. There is a free basis breakfast (bread, jam thee coffe) that runs from 8 to 10. Bedrooms, showers and washrooms are clean and the staff is helpful if asked.

Really enjoyed my stay at Mitsuwaya! I don’t usually stay in hostels so I was a little apprehensive, however the accommodation was really great value, comfortable, close to a variety of convenience stores and stations, within walking distance of Dotonbori and other popular locations. The staff were so lovely and couldn’t have shown greater hospitality, will definitely stay here again when I’m next in Osaka! :)

Very noisy and uncomfortable. My room is next to public area, at night someone still talk very loud and you can hear very clearly. Also, the roommates are noisy and they keep turning on the lights at midnight. There's no locker also and I can only put my stuffs inside the room which is very unsafe. Awful experience.

Incredible stay for solo travelers wanting to be near stations and have fun itineraries, in a lovely, quiet, and peaceful spot. Very early to walk around and find places to eat. The staff were very accommodating and sweet! Definitely a worthwhile stay for first-time Japan travelers! Thank you so much for making my trip comfortable and superb!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Mitsuwaya. It was meticulously clean, had everything you could possibly need, great service, a great lounge area to meet new people, and best of all a short walk to Dotonbori where it’s just overflowing with energy. If you’re just “thinking” about Mitsuwaya, I’d recommend putting aside your apprehensions and just pulling the trigger. You’re going to love it.

I love the place, simple but affordable. Place is clean and have good vibe. Close to many attractions but I really dislike the train exit. It is hard to get here from Umeda/Osaka station then always had trouble finding the exit to chome 9 station

I had a lovely stay! It's cozy and feels like home, and the staff is welcoming. Some guests gave the same vibe, too. They have a kitchen, vending machine, washers and dryers for rent, shared space, and a rooftop deck for chilling. You can also hang clothes on a drying rack there. I was pleasantly surprised by a complimentary light breakfast, which wasn’t on my booking. Nice. They accept late check-ins, like 2 or 3 am, which is great! A heads up for light sleepers; it can be noisy. I had a hiccup at a nearby Lawson when someone took the umbrella I borrowed from their staff. When I explained, they were so understanding and assured me it was no problem, not charging me for it. Overall, it’s a memorable experience. I would consider staying there again!

Very calm and chill place to stay in Osaka. I liked the walking distance to Dotonbori in the evening - fun to pop over and join the crowds. Wasn't a huge fan of how it was a 10-15 walk to most major transit stations. Beds have a super spacious shelving area, but the ladders are some of the hardest to navigate that I've come across at a hostel.
