Hostel Modena San Filippo Neri

Perfectly fine for a quick overnight. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was free parking, good wifi, and a close walk to the city center. We were able to store our bags for free and park for free on the day of check-out. Rooms were clean and had extra amenities like a table and chairs, towels, and soap/shampoo.

Entering the hostel after 11 pm should be easier than ringing and waiting for someone to open because this isn't smooth and you can wait until someone opens. I also didn't feel free to go in or out as much as I wanted because of that, so improving that would be super great. otherwise, I liked that hostel 👌

Pictures of the hostel are quite misleading. We felt like we were in jail. Bathrooms look like prison stalls. The hostel is gloomy. No air conditioning in the room. Four miserable fans were supposed to reduce room temperature, but two of them were not working.

The hostel was very good value for money, in a perfect location only ten minutes walk from the train station and ten minutes walk from the Enzo Ferrari Museum. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was well equipped and the front desk staff were lovely and helpful. The only "issues" were that it got very hot during the summer as there was no air conditioning but they did provide fans and it wasn't really a "backpacker's" hostel as it wasn't particularly social. Other than that a good place to stay if you want to go to the Ferrari museum.

Pretty standard hostel. Walls have been nicely painted, which looks great on a google review, but otherwise pretty standard. Good bag lockers and passable beds and showers. Kitchen is okay.

Rooms were clean and VERY hot. The receptionist confirmed our booking for the following week were there and the were surprised with cancellations. Do not trust them, and I was speaking VERY fluent English and Italian. Will not book with them again

The staff were fantastic and helpful with any issues. (The dryer breaks down half way through the process, so I was able to use the staff drier) The 3 beds to the room gave space to move, with the 2M high lockers an added bonus. The locked individual showers for each room is a good idea allowing only those in the room access. A short safe walk from the train station and to the restaurants, which are best visited at night as siesta still exists from 2-7pm. The art on the walls creates a nice atmosphere
