Hostel Nina

Great hostel! Did a lovely daytrip with Nino. Staff always greeted me with a smile. 25 minute walk from bus station and about 5-8min walk to Old Bridge/Old Town. 5-7 min walk from Konzum ( a bigish grocery store which accepts euros). Has a big dining/communal area where I can imagine people hang out a lot in the high season. Just off the main road so not disturbed by the noise of cars passing. (Side note: in the off season the breakfast is not offered :/ )

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostel Nina. Nina herself was incredibly helpful and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The hostel was very affordable, and the price even included a homemade breakfast prepared by the family’s grandmother. The atmosphere was very social without being a party hostel, which I really appreciated. I can highly recommend joining the hostel’s day trip to Kravice Waterfalls, but the true highlight was the free walking tour organized by the owner, Zjike (free of charge). During the tour, he shared stories about his upbringing and experiences during the war. It's an emotional experience, as the stories are quite heavy, but it was absolutely worth it. Overall, I felt I had a very authentic experience and I can strongly recommend Hostel Nina to anyone visiting Mostar.

I wanted to drop my bag in the morning for the day and make a reservation at the same time. It was about 7:30 and the man that answered the door had a go at me for ringing the bell so early. That would’ve been fair enough however online it says reception is 24/7 therefore they should be ready to answer all the time. On top of that, he then didn’t let me leave my bag there or make a reservation and told me to come back in an hour. Overall very unprofessional and not welcoming at all

A beautiful homestay, come here if you want to understand Bosnian hospitality. Good community space, very clean property.

Having a great stay at Hostel Nina. I did the tour that they organise today with Rica. I would highly recommend it, we did the mandatory tourist spots and also a secret location related to the history of Yugoslavia and we heard stories from our guide who has lived through the war in Mostar. I would recommend coming to the area outside of peak season, the weather is still great (not too hot) and there are very few tourists, so you can see everything very easily.

I usually dont write reviews, but this place really deserved it. Best hostel ever! Spotlessly clean, perfect location, homemade breakfast every morning, friendly staff and best of all is Hostel Nina TOUR!!! Their Herzegovina day tour is the highlight of my trip. They invented this tour, so if you want a unique experience you MUST do it with them!!! Thank you guys

We went on the Kravica Waterfall Tour and it was incredible. The tour guides were incredibly informative and were able to tell us real life examples of the way life was during the war and the impact both then and now on how life is in Mostar. We went to 4 different locations before the waterfalls- the pace was brilliant and we really enjoyed. Excellent value, would 100% reccomend.

Incredible day tour organised by the hostel! It’s family-run, and you get to learn lots about Mostar and its history. Highly recommend 🙌
