This hostel was absolutely perfect for us. We are a family of five and booked the 6 bedroom. It was spacious, comfortable and the air conditioning was great. The location was perfect for us as we were travelling by train mostly and the station is a few minutes away. Perfect for a trip to Monte Carlo for the evening. The bar and communal areas were very fun and the breakfast was well worth it. Thank you - we felt safe and happy with our children 😊

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything was clean and comfortable. The location is also perfect — close to everything I needed. I felt really happy and relaxed during my time here. Highly recommend!

I had a good time staying at this hostel but there are several things that bothered me: 1. No place to sit in the room except for your bed. It can be quite uncomfortable, especially if you have the higher bunk. 2. I was literally deceived by the Booking’s sign ‘very good breakfast’. I mean… it is barely anything really, maybe worth 6 euros, but I would not recommend it, I had breakfasts with much more choice at other hostels. 3. Conditioner was blowing right on me and was making me sick, therefore I had to heighten the temperature, but it was hotter in the room then. 4. Just when I arrived, I was sitting on my bed, my roommate was asleep and cleaners just came in and started vacuuming the floors… When they were done, they left the door open and were talking very loudly. Soo, put the ‘not disturb’ sign if you don’t want such inconveniences. 5. I know it is common, but such a pity that there are no fridges at all! You are also not allowed to eat your own food in the sitting area, as well as in the room.

I've had a great experience staying in Hostel Ozz! The staff gave my useful directions how to get there from the airport and my check-in went without any problems. The room and bathroom were really clean! The breakfast was OK, typical I would say, nice freshly baked pastries, little buns and some cheese. I was given a padlock for the locker and could leave my luggage after check-out. Definitely recommend this place!

+: The room is clean and the bed comfortable, staff is decent -: The noise from outside makes it impossible to sleep without earplugs. You can hear the staff at all hours of the night if you get a private room.

The location is convenient—just a short walk from the Nice Ville train station. There’s also a great restaurant just a few meters away. The place was clean and pleasant overall. I shared a room with two other girls. The only downside was the design of the double beds. They were quite short, making it uncomfortable to sit on them, and any small movement caused a loud noise that could easily disturb others.

Overall I had a good stay at Hostel Ozz and it’s a good option for budget/backpacking stay in Nice. There could have been a few things to improve it which would have made it a great hostel. Let’s start with the good: 1. Location is fantastic. So close to the train station which made day tripping around so easy and 2. Free coffee machine, 3. Affordable breakfast. I only had breakfast here one but only 6e and all you can eat continental breakfast it’s very good value. 4. Good storage in rooms. You need to bring your own lock but I stayed in a 3 person female dorm and we had lots of space. 5. Helpful staff. All the requests I made were dealt with professionally on a timely manner. Reception is open 24/7 which is great. 6. Common room and bar are nice places to hang out with really affordable prices compared to a lot of places in Nice which can get expensive. 7. Free luggage storage before and after. The not so great 1. Not a fan of the triple decker beds. Mattresses are very firm with very flat pillows. You cannot sit up comfortably in bed. I was in a middle bunk and the bedside lamp shone right into the top bunk disturbing my neighbour even with curtains which is really annoying as I felt I couldn’t have a personal light. A few things in the room were broken too like my bedside net to keep my belongings and the light on the bottom bunk. 2. It gets cold! Was there in July so peak summer and the ac was cranking. Had to wear a hoodie in the common areas because I run cold, also needed a thicker blanket because the sheets were too thin even when turning up the temperature. 3. The bathroom floor is constantly wet/flooded. They charge you for towels which is standard in Europe (though quite expensive 5e per towel!) so no towel are provided in the bathrooms and so the floor is constantly wet from using the shower.

The hostel is close to the train and not too far of a walk to town to get a bus, making it a good base for exploring. I had initially booked a mixed room but on arrival the team let me know I was moved to a female, which I was grateful for. There are many people who only stay a night so you’re likely not going to make new friends with the light and noise late at night. The bathroom is a decent size. You aren’t able to bring food into rooms and cannot eat downstairs while the bar is open which makes it hard for longer stays. You also don’t have access to a kitchen so this would not be ideal for the budget traveller. The breakfast was exactly as described and made each morning stress free.

Yelp
Moldy tiny shower, they keep taking down my google review to artificially inflate their rating. Shady business. Beds sucked.

Yelp
Backpacking across Europe I had no idea what to expect with regards to quality. Paris hostels were old, dirty, with tiny bathrooms and no privacy. If you didn't want to pay a lot you would have to travel a fair distance from the major train junctions. Hotel ozz was much cheaper and remarkably five minutes or less from the Nice VILLE train station. But it's also extremely modern, with what looks like a fairly new construction building. Large bathrooms, an elevator, good beds with privacy curtains on every bed, and complimentary hot drinks. The staff was very friendly and hard working. As I arrived there were people cleaning, down to the level of hand scrubbing stair floors. I would book here everytime I come to Nice and look forward to it.

Yelp
Great place. BEST hostel I've been at. Clean, mostly quiet and the staff is fantastik. Just 2 blocks from the train station, so everything else. Bus 99 takes you 25min to train station for 6€. The gathering room is very social, has a 50" tv and They offer breakfast beer, wine and free coffee. Across the street is a general store that you can get decent wine for 3-4€. They let you bring it in to drink if you want. Elevator. All ages were there. Rooms are small but adequate. Comfy bunks with curtains and clean shower. Looks updated recently. Good wifi. Two thumbs up.
