Hostel PanGeea

Great experience during low-season. Owner was really friendly and nice. Rooms were cleaned everyday and kitchen facilities were really nice. Customers safety was also taken seriously here cafe/bar is a sight to see even if you are not staying at PangGeea. Will be staying here again if I cross Sibiu.

Excellent location, right by the main square and sights of Sibiu. They let me leave my bag. Man who checked me in was very friendly.|Room was big.|It said the room came with a TV. There was a TV but it didn’t work, some of wires of the plug were loose and severed so it didn’t turn on. If they advertise a room with a TV and I pay for a room with a TV I expect to have a room with a TV that works. |The rooms look down onto a courtyard with a bar in so it does get noisy in the day and evening, but less so at night when it has closed. You enter the room from a kitchen shared with a hostel dorm room. The oven is right next to the room door so the room smells of food every time anyone cooks

This was the best hostel I stayed at during my summer of travels. The kitchen was wonderful and I was so happy for free laundry and an amazing place to read and hang out and rest.

Stay in the other one. I only came to this one cause the other was full. As other reviews say there's only 2 dorm rooms with a bathroom for each. However, while the 8 dorm bathroom is behind a closed door, the 6 dorm one isn't so it is occupied constantly. There is a bar downstairs which will keep you awake till 2am every night. The kitchen is adequate and location is great.

I had a great experience, the location is class, quiet and very clean, surprisingly. 5/5 and more if I could!

We stayed in the single room with two beds. We went in july and it was our first time booking a hostel. It was hot. And with hot I mean 38 degrees. No Airco. No ventilation. You couldn’t open the windows because there is a plague of lace bugs outside in Sibiu and the noise coming from downstairs of the pub makes it hard to fall asleep, together with the heat it wasn’t do-able. Slept with a wet towel on me the whole night to somewhat cope. Some guest in the hostel were slightly rude and were claiming the bathroom, which is a shared bathroom with eight other people which is way to much. The shower doesn’t work properly. It gets either quite hot and then suddenly ice cold again. The room smelled like sweat when we arrived. Bed sheets were clean, but the extra cover they put on the sheets for decoration I suppose smelled like sweat and wasn’t washed out. It made the room feel very unclean. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I felt bad for the people who would be sharing the hostel rooms with more people.

Didn't stop here but the bar is amazing. Has to be seen to be believed, doesn't really need any Halloween decorations but is even more freaky with them. Favourite bar in Sibiu!

Good location with motorcycle parking available on the street. Beds and bathrooms were decent. The outside balcony could use some repair.
