Hostel Pisa Tower

great location, however we had a very negative experience. my group was placed in a ground floor women-only room, which was fine at first. however we began to notice beg bugs on surrounding beds and mould in the bathroom. The windows did not effectively lock nor did the fly screen. Just before 3am on July 17th, everyone in our room was awoken to the sound of men shouting and pounding on the windows of our room. Continuing, they managed to open the window and pull the fly screen up to put their phone torches in our room. The men put their hands through the opened window and slammed the shutters on our beds. This persisted for 30 minutes. Myself and the people I travelled with were terrified and felt very uneasy staying in the hostel afterwards. They were loud, and would have been able to enter our room if they wished to. It was a terrifying experience for us and we truly thought something was going to happen to us in the room of your hostel. I expect that it is within the scope of the hostels duty of care to ensure a safe space for travellers to stay in while in the hostel. It appears that not all measures were met to ensure our safety, as these people could have entered our room quite easily. An emergency number is listed for 24/7 accessibility in the hostel, however we attempted to call 4 times and received no answer. we told the hostel in the morning and there were no attempts to resolve the situation. furthermore, after our stay, I sent an email noting the unsatisfactory conditions of the hostel and received no response . do not go here.

Excellent location. Didn't see a single person of the staff during my stay. AC was weak, but maybe my roommates put it too soft. Staff was very friendly, let me check in at night when my flight was delayed. Very hot during the day in the hostel

amazing hostel!!! perfectly located, about 2 minutes from the leaning tower, and close to all the restaurants in pisa too. the beds were relatively comfy and cool for a hostel, and the staff very friendly. you have a key code so you can access the hostel at any hour. there is a good fridge, ping pong and a nice roof area. showers are decent with hot and cold water every time i used them, and a cleaner comes every day. i arrived after midnight, and had to message the property on booking.com on the day of arrival (no reply on whatsapp), but after that i was easily able to check in later. one important thing is that when you arrive you have to pay the city tax of €2.50 per day that you stay.

The room was alright and the location is really good - close to the tower. However, they did not keep track of my reservation and there was a language barrier. I had booked one night and paid for it, then the owner came to me and claimed that there had been a mistake and that I had booked two nights, in the confusion he refunded me for the night I had paid even if I had clearly booked for one night. Then when I pointed it out he charged me for one night again - but with a higher price this time! That caused a lot of confusion and if he charged me the wrong amount the first time, then why not just say so? A major flaw in their service, and I suspect deliberate dishonesty. It irritated me a lot. Otherwise the place was fine, but such booking problems are unacceptable.

I would stay here again if I visit pisa alone. I was very lucky when my room was only girls no men hahaha With the very good location next to Pisa tower and train station and bus I feel so nice and comfortable. There was a cleaning lady which she did her job amazing the shared bathroom and bed wasn’t bad at all. They have kitchen and washing machine to hang clothes. I didn’t feel dirty or stressed for 2 nights I was here. I even made new friend.

I may have been better off sleeping rough .. Pay a little more and get somewhere better Bathroom was a disgrace Others in my room were slobs and inconsiderate I left a day early and in the early hours of my 1st night... Dreadful

The staff and location is so nice! But Iv never experienced a worse smelling hostel in my life. The room and mattress smelled like sour milk and old cigarettes and it was so intense I couldn’t sleep at night so ended up leaving after 2 nights of a 4 night stay.

No one answer the door and call Reception only open from 2:30 suck! So you can’t get to early

Hostel is very close to the tower. Bunk-beds are very good. There is a lounge and two vending machines to satisfy your sweet tooth at night. No breakfast included, but do you need it when in Italy? It also has a BBQ spot in the back. And the host Antonio is very nice. Great stay in December (the very low season)
