This lakeside hostel is a real gem! The people were very welcoming and I had a little room to myself, bathroom ensuite. It even had a little balcony. The heater worked and everything felt clean. Yes, it’s older but it has a lot of charm. Bus stop right in front of the hostel, breakfast is buffet-style and provides a lot of options, you can sit next to the big windows and look at the lake. It was very cozy.

Quick stop for a drink while walking around the lake. Menu for food looked reasonable but we didn't eat. The location, gin and service was good.

Hostel Pod Voglom, overlooking Lake Bohinj, was one of the most beautiful, serene, and natural places I've ever witnessed. The pristine environment, stunning lake view, great staff, and fun activities make this place a must stay! If you're looking to wind down, rejuvenate, and experience nature in a refreshing new way, I'd highly recommend visiting.

Large hostel facing the lake and within distance from the center. Cheap prices for dorm : around 25€ a night, includign breakfast. |Evening meal for 15€ including soup, salad, main course. There's also a bar and an activity center where you can rent a bike or canoe.

Everything is perfect, we had a lot of fun and we can't wait to come back here again!!

Spent four nights here in a private room, which was clean and had a shared bathroom and balcony right next to it. The best part about this hostel is the location - its right next to the lake and even in August it was easy to find a private spot to sit on the 'beach' and swim. Also, the vibe of the place is really nice with people of all ages. It's possible to rent outdoor sports equipment in the hostel. I went paragliding and they pick you up at the hostel, which was great. Some downsides: - There's no soap in the bathroom - My room was on the 4th floor so its 8 stairs (no elevator) - The building is very noisy, you can hear everything happening in the room next to you and in the hallway - Breakfast is quite modest and the coffee could be improved - The vibe of the restaurant is really nice and there's a vegetarian option. Its quite expensive though and the food was not always very nice. There's no kitchen in the hostel to cook yourself. The staff consists of students who try their best but are a bit inexperienced and slow. Overall would recommend!

We had a really bad experience in this hostel. The room was really dirty and dusty. We took a room with a private bathroom which was full of mold and several things were broken. Some of the electric outlets didn’t work well. However, the worst part was the breakfast. Definitely do not eat there even if it’s part of the offer. We both got really sick and all the food is highly processed cheese and charcuterie. The coffee was the worst I’ve had. It was some low quality instant coffee that made me sick after even just smelling it. Food was not kept cold either which probably why it we got sick. Don’t recommend it.

Came back after 5 years and this is still a brilliant place to stay, especially for hikers, bikers and those doing the activities here. Excellent rooms, our 2 person room has the most beautiful view across the lake. All clean and perfectly sized for a couple. The staff are very helpful and a great resource for local hikes and general info. There’s a local visitors card that makes some of the key locations free and and offers pretty big discounts on other local businesses too. The breakfast is not fancy as some have said in the reviews (though the view absolutely is), but what more do you need other than granola, toast, coffee and juice? If you’re after more, there are plenty of local places to eat in the village a little walk away. Overall I cannot fault an incredibly reasonably priced room right in the centre of the most beautiful hiking routes, waterfalls, rivers, lakes and more!
