Hostel Salta por Siempre

Great, cheap hostel! Paid 13000 during the off-season for a private room with a private bathroom. Everything was very clean. Has an amazing little garden and 2 friendly cats. Kitchen is a classic hostel kitchen so don’t expect much but it works! We stayed here before (in 2020) and are happy we came back!

Very average place, pretty much as I had expected. It's old and the amenities are not updated, but the room and bathroom (both private) were pretty clean. My bedsheets did not smell fresh though, so I'm not 100% certain they were changed. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. 24h reception is great. I didn't meet any people (a lot of reviews say it's a very social hostel), but I didn't put too much effort into it either. Location a bit far from the centre but it's ok, maybe 20-25mins walking. For the price I think the value is alright.

Very sociable and on Saturdays they do the most delicious BBQ, when I was there 30/40 of us had supper all together. The meat was outrageously good and all the veggies were so delicious too, the vegetarian meal was also fantastic :)

Enjoyed our stay here. We were upgraded to a private room which was lovely. Very comfy beds, very clean hostel. Hot showers. The WiFi is a bit slow. It’s quite well located - 10/15 minutes walk from centre, 2 mins from a supermarket. They do an asado which is great ! Breakfast is basic but the coffee is good! Kitchen is quite basic. Loads of places to relax and a good vibe.

It's a rustic hostel but thats part of the charm. A brilliant staff working hard all day, everyday to make you feel at home. The hostel is clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and warm. The atmosphere is super friendly and boho in a backpacker cool without trying cool way. Very popular to come and form roadtrips with! There's asado on Saturday night too and its great! I loved staying here- thankyou Victor, Daniella, Francisco, and everyone!

This hostel Is amazing. Private rooms if you want and a nice garden with a turtle and three cats. BBQ and washing facilities. Amazing staff and great location.

Despite having had a ‘comfortable’ stay here, I would not recommend staying. The location is poor - it is 8 blocks (20 minute walk) from the main plaza which is where all the restaurants are etc which is quite a faff. The bathroom was very small and extremely basic too. However, the worst thing about it is the breakfast - it is almost non existent. All you get is 2 tiny, stale, almost scone like rolls and a dollop of ‘jam’ which is more like orange pulp so we had to resort to going to the local bakery to get our own breakfast!

We stayed in a 4-person room with a private bathroom. There was one set of bunkbeds and one double bed. The price was fantastic, considering the quality of the room and the facilities of the hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, and they were able to help us set up excursions as well. This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I travel on a very low budget, so my expectations are never too high, but I was very pleasantly surprised with how great this place was inside. The location is in walking distance of a great shopping/eating area, but when you arrive, you'll feel like there's nothing around. Just ask the staff and they'll direct you on where to go to find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
