I booked to stay in a dorm of 4, however there were 5 beds in the room. Not a huge problem as there ended up only being 4 people staying, but the extra bed did make the room feel very small. The toilet and shower room are very dated, there’s only a single toilet and shower for around 3 dorm rooms. I guess you could go to another floor/block, but I’ve never seen this before in a hostel of this size. The toilet and shower were kept clean though. The lounge area is nice and spacious, the staff were helpful with any questions and there’s lockers both in the room and the basement. Certainly not a bad hostel, but was expecting better.

Great experience at St. Moritz Hostel. This hostel has an affordable price and all the service that you can expect from an Hostel. Very kind and help-full staff. Special mention for Ricardo, the chef. He went above and beyond to save our dinner!

The room I stayed in was a four-bed, and it had two bunk beds. The lockers were very spacious but they did not have a clear locking mechanism, which made them more storage cabinet than locker. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. It was a buffet-style breakfast with breads, cheeses, and jams, along with grains/cereal and multiple options for drinks (coffee, orange juice, milk). As for the location... St Moritz itself won me over with its lake and beautiful landscapes, but holy shit the part of town where the hostel is looks so dreary and grey. There ARE bus lines to take you into town towards the grocery stores/train station, but otherwise it's about a half hour walk.

I had a 2 night stay here and I will give my view on different elements of the hostel.||Staff: Staff were helpful and friendly upon check in and check out. ||Rooms: I stayed in a 6 bed shared dorm. The hostel was very quiet at this time as it’s not the high season but on the second night I was the only one in the room. Bed’s comfortable and sockets and light at each bed. |You have to make and strip your bed on check in and check out. |Rooms have a sink but bathrooms and showers are located outside the room. ||Social aspect: There was no social activity at all, the hostel was quiet but this is to be expected given the time of year. It may be more sociable in the high season. However, this is not a standard youth hostel, this caters for all ages and families which is not typical if most youth hostels around Europe. But I have found this to be the case in Switzerland. ||Food: I had dinner one of the nights and breakfast on both mornings. Dinner cost 19.50chf for a starter which included soup and side salad, main course and desert. Thought this was very reasonable and portion sizes were good. Breakfast also very good, selection of breads, yogurt, fruit, coffees, ham/cheese etc. ||Location: approx 10 minute walk to the St Moritz lake; and 30 min to train station, however a bus goes from right outside the hostel twice an hour. Location is good. ||Things to note: |bring your own shower gel. These are not provided. |Towels not provided. |There is a vending machine, it is very expensive so go to the Lidl shop nearby for some snacks.

Had a pleasant stay at Hostel St Moritz after spending all day catching the Glacier Express from Zermatt! Only downside was the bus from the train station was quite delayed and being -9˚C out (which certainly was not the hostel's fault). Having stayed in a hostel the night before with shared facilities, and seeing half-naked men walk back to their rooms from the shared showers on the way to my room at this hostel, I was pleasantly surprised to realise that I had a super spacious room with ensuite all to myself (thanks Flight Centre)! The dinner was hearty and delicious - and saved me from venturing out into the -13˚C evening. Breakfast was also delightful. All the staff at reception were lovely and helpful!

Breakfast was great and variety of cheese. The location a bit far, need to walk 20 min to the st moritz train station and have bus no.609 in font of the hostel

The worst experience I ever had in st moritz, I had to book another hotel due to the incompetence of the customer service. I booked 2 nights and I made a mistake in the reservation however they never cared about it, I couldn’t change the date of my reservation nor cancel it. I was expecting at least to pay a fee for the rebook but they refused the change. Be careful with this hostel and be prepared to pay full price again if your plans change. I don’t recommend to anyone to ever think about this option to stay in st moritz.

I’m really impressed how these hotels work and I became a fan of them. Just love it! It’s a really good price comparing to regular Swiss prices and in the same time you can enjoy big shared areas where you can integrate with other travelers - which are mostly into sports and other nice activities in this fantastic area. It has a big parking, bike storage room, skis room, even skis waxing room. There’s an option for some lunch and a dinner which is really great. And of course the breakfast which is also great with few special Swiss ingredients like cheese with an open buffet. A really good value for money for all sport buddies. Nordic skiing fans will be amazed. I guess bike fans as well. Storage rooms are safe as all in the CH. I’d love to be here during the Engadin Skimarathon. It must have an awesome vibe. And the stuff! Very very friendly and helpful. Be polite to them, it’s a really nice place!

Yelp
The hostel is a 30-minute walk from the train station or a 10-minute bus ride that costs 3 CHF. It is not so out of the way as it may seem, however. We were there to cross-country ski and in fact, there are lovely trails for xc skiing and snowshoeing within steps of the door. The breakfast buffet, which is included, is impressive and the dinner and beer/wine options are great after a thorough day of skiing -- think classic swiss meat and potatoes type dishes, available for a very reasonable price. The salad bar was plentiful and well-stocked. The staff was reasonably new but as helpful as they could be. The rooms were large and clean and while there were mininal hangers, there was shelving and the bathroom was large. The shower did not have walls but instead just curtains so be prepared to avoid flooding the entire room. Great views from the higher floors. The hostel includes a number of group social spaces and dining rooms that can be reserved ahead of time for private groups, as well as a children's room, living room, and game room. The basement has a room for ski storage, 2 game rooms, and a laundry room.
