Had a pleasant stay at Hostel St Moritz after spending all day catching the Glacier Express from Zermatt! Only downside was the bus from the train station was quite delayed and being -9˚C out (which certainly was not the hostel's fault). Having stayed in a hostel the night before with shared facilities, and seeing half-naked men walk back to their rooms from the shared showers on the way to my room at this hostel, I was pleasantly surprised to realise that I had a super spacious room with ensuite all to myself (thanks Flight Centre)! The dinner was hearty and delicious - and saved me from venturing out into the -13˚C evening. Breakfast was also delightful. All the staff at reception were lovely and helpful!

I’m really impressed how these hotels work and I became a fan of them. Just love it! It’s a really good price comparing to regular Swiss prices and in the same time you can enjoy big shared areas where you can integrate with other travelers - which are mostly into sports and other nice activities in this fantastic area. It has a big parking, bike storage room, skis room, even skis waxing room. There’s an option for some lunch and a dinner which is really great. And of course the breakfast which is also great with few special Swiss ingredients like cheese with an open buffet. A really good value for money for all sport buddies. Nordic skiing fans will be amazed. I guess bike fans as well. Storage rooms are safe as all in the CH. I’d love to be here during the Engadin Skimarathon. It must have an awesome vibe. And the stuff! Very very friendly and helpful. Be polite to them, it’s a really nice place!

Nice hostel at the end of the street but no worries you can always take the bus. 1 minute walk to the lakeside. Large living room at the ground floor. Breakfast buffet included. Apart from St. Moritz do also visit Sils im Engadin in autumn when the leaves turn yellow.

When booking a room in this hostel I specifically opted for a slightly more expensive room, hoping for more comfort. However, after checking in I realized that the room I was put in was the cheaper economy room - not the one I paid for. When I asked at the reception about it, I was told that there were no rooms available of the category that I booked. Only then, upon my explicit request, I was offered to be reimbursed the price difference. This seems fraudulent, as I should have been informed about this, and compensated, during check-in. The economy room that I was put in had beds with very narrow steps, so it was very difficult to get up to the top bunk. There was no ventilation and some of the lockers were not working. On the positive side, the dinner that can be additionally purchased was very good value for money.

The public areas are very nice and lively. The rooms tiny and the toilets and showers very old. The location is quite far from St Moritz Center. 30 min walk!

It is nice to stay w Hotel St.Moritz! The room and space is enough! I get to know 2 lady from there too! The staff is very friendly and nice + helpful! Location wise, need to take note, as we take bus over and didn’t heard or saw the station where to alight, end up take one round back to original bus stop and need to wait for the same bus one hour later. Otherwise is another bus, need to walk for 10-15 mins. I feel a bit confused over there for the bus station as both bus station same name, and the route map not very clear, maybe a bit difficult for foreigners.

SUPER clean, nice location (a few minutes away from the buses to anywhere), nice staff. The breakfast and the rooms are quite minimal. Edit from my most recent visit (summer 2024): they let you eat your stuff in the kitchen area (kettle, microwave available, you can use their trays and cutlery), so it becomes cheaper than their dinner option! Still a long way to go before cooking for yourself... The staff is ALWAYS lovable!

One staff was kind and helpful but the other staffs were rude and arrogant. Breakfast was OK and facilities were clean.

Yelp
The hostel is a 30-minute walk from the train station or a 10-minute bus ride that costs 3 CHF. It is not so out of the way as it may seem, however. We were there to cross-country ski and in fact, there are lovely trails for xc skiing and snowshoeing within steps of the door. The breakfast buffet, which is included, is impressive and the dinner and beer/wine options are great after a thorough day of skiing -- think classic swiss meat and potatoes type dishes, available for a very reasonable price. The salad bar was plentiful and well-stocked. The staff was reasonably new but as helpful as they could be. The rooms were large and clean and while there were mininal hangers, there was shelving and the bathroom was large. The shower did not have walls but instead just curtains so be prepared to avoid flooding the entire room. Great views from the higher floors. The hostel includes a number of group social spaces and dining rooms that can be reserved ahead of time for private groups, as well as a children's room, living room, and game room. The basement has a room for ski storage, 2 game rooms, and a laundry room.
