This hostal, which is really like a hotel, exceeded my expectations. I am surprised it doesn´t have a higher rating simply because of all the amenities that make a weary traveler feel at home. ||||It´s really a unique place, with lots of beautiful blue tiles throughout. Reminds me of Morocco. Rooms are spacious, AC works GREAT, plenty of hot water, and the most helpful people on staff I have encountered in months of travel. Staff is always around cleaning...||||But it was the amenities I appreciated most. CNN on cable. After being on the road for a couple of months, it was nice to fall asleep to an English TV station. Also, an absolutely spotless kitchen with microwave and icy fridge. And a computer station, though internet was spotty on their computers, wifi was good throughout. And up on the top level are some nice blue tiled sinks and clothes line if you need to wash out some laundry. ||||It´s only a few blocks to the Malecon. They will help with last minute cruises to the Galapagos, and the man at the front desk during the day speaks English. He helped me locate a place to repair my broken camera. ||||If ever back in Guayaquil, I would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly owner and staff. The hotel itself is wonderful. There is a pleasant terrace with lush vegetation. A fully equipped kitchen, area to wash clothes, strong wifi. The rooms are very clean as well as the bathrooms and common spaces. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel seeing that many other hotels are quite run down.

Very happy with our stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with the best shower we have had in a month of travelling. Very good internet and it was nice to have access to a well equipped kitchen. The reception staff are also more than helpful. All in all, very good for the price!

The room, office, and rooftop garden area were very clean and well maintained. There is s super helpful and friendly staff. 24 hour front desk and very cordial security arrangements. This was a wonderful place to stay and the Kingdom Hall next door makes for excellent neighbors. Only one block from a beautiful 4-square block city park with food, groceries and anything you could possibly want to supplement your stay here. We will definitely be back when in Guayaquil.

Nice clean and big rooms, helpfull staff, located in the city centre close to all major atractions. When i did not want to eat out i could make my scrambled eggs in the kitchen on the roofterras. I had a superb time here and recommand everyone to book an accommadation here if you ever visit quayaquil. Ow yeah, great prices ;-)

I reserved a room for 2 people the night before the Guayaquil marathon. The staff was fantastic with allowing my friend and I to add another person to the room for a lower price at the last minute. The use of the hostal's bus card was very much appreciated as well, all I had to do was recharge it on my last trip. The hostal was also very close to the start of the race, and the hostal was able to get a cheap taxi to get us to the start in the morning, which was hugely appreciated.||The discotheque next door was quite loud and made it difficult to get good sleep without earplugs, I would recommend bringing them! The biggest issue that I had was that although staff told me I could use the refrigerator on the patio, and I was careful to label my food, some of the other guests still took most of it overnight. I was shocked and quite angry because as a volunteer, I couldn't afford to eat out every meal. The staff was very apologetic and made sure when I switched to a single room that I was happy with it. Overall a great experience with the staff themselves, just very put out by my fellow guests at the place. Don't store food in the fridge, keep it in your room!

Very clean hotel, they have done a great job renovating a lot of their rooms, we had one of the top floor ones, and it was very spacious and clean. you can notice the finishing touches in their rooms, like paint jobs and decorative designs on walls and ceilings. Price is reasonable and it's basically two blocks away from 9 de octubre boulevard.
