Dijaški dom Tabor (Hostel Tabor)

Easily the greatest hostel I've ever stayed in. Complete breakfast, spacious rooms with lockers, beautiful inside with common area and kitchen and outside with space to sit. Central location 7 min from main street. Would definitely recommend

I will give the 3 stars, because the rooms were all the time so hot and it was very hard to sleep and mattress was also dirty (they provided sheets to cover)

Overall the room was big and clean. Not enough toilets/showers for all the people. Not changing rooms in any of the toilets/showers so it was very difficult to change, the showers were all wet and didn't have enough hangers for the clothes or anything to change. Staff was very friendly and the spaces were clean in general. I would improve the toilets, the ceilings and walls were wet and falling apart. The rest was very good. Breakfast was included in the price and it was nice as well. The location was amazing, I will recommend this place.

The location is amazing. It’s in the center of the capital. Any part of Ljubljana is easily accessible either by walking, bike, bus or taxi. The rooms got a loot better as they renovate a part of the hostel each year. The workers are supper nice and friendly.

A cheap hostel, and it feels cheap. If you're looking for shelter in a good location, this is for you. If you're looking for even a mild level of comfort, stay clear. The bed is small and the mattress is paper thin. The pillow is almost non-existent. My room's light globe died a few minutes after arriving, but there was no spare room so they gave me a lamp (they fixed it a few hours later). The fly wire was broken, and with no aircon or fan, the room was a sauna. The towel is smaller than a bath mat. Payment is cash-only, which feels dodgy for such a big hostel.

Unlike other hostels the fridge and kitchen was quite messy. Noone labeled their food and there was one fridge despite three floors of rooms. There was no way to get air to circulate in the room so without any fans it got very hot at night. One redeeming aspect was the excellent breakfast.

This was a really great experience! The hostel was very close to both the old town and the train station. Clean rooms and clean facilities. Very very good value for money, we paid 28€ for a room with free breakfast included. If I’m ever going back to Ljubljana I’m definately staying here again!

Excellent location within walking distance to downtown and main train station. Free parking in a difficult-to-park area. Decent breakfast. Friendly student reception, overall 'Student camp atmosphere', refreshing. Excellent value for money. Excellent support on ongoing events, places to visit a.s.o. Shared bathroom facilities, but clean and situation manageable unless overly fussy.
