Tralala is a true gem—genuinely the best hostel i’ve ever been to. It’s so beautiful, clean and lovingly decorated with handmade furniture and cute little objects. The staff is super helpful and always ready to answer any questions you may have. They let us check-in early which was very appreciated and we were able to have our clothes washed and dried and ready to pick up in less than 3 hours which was super helpful. There were even fresh towels in our rooms which I was super grateful for, all for a very reasonable price. There are 2 kitchens fully equipped with everything you need, including coffee. We extended our stay because we loved it so much! I’ll definitely come back one day :)

We arrived in Salento after booking a hostel in advance, but when we got there, we found that the room was very uncomfortable, so we wanted to switch. We called hostel Tralala to confirm availability, and as soon as we were told there was space, we canceled our previous reservation and went there with all our things. A few minutes after arriving, the receptionist told us she had made a mistake and there was actually no availability. We started looking for another place to stay, but after about 10 minutes she asked us to leave because it was the hostel’s quiet hours — even though we were sitting quietly and just looking for a new place on our phones. We explained that we had nowhere to sleep at the moment and just needed some time to sit and find somewhere, but she said it wasn’t her problem and that we should have been more responsible — even though the reason we canceled our previous booking was because she had told us there was space. In the end, we found ourselves out on the street at night looking for a place to sleep — when all we needed was just a few minutes to sit in the lobby. That was the bare minimum she could have done after her mistake. The receptionist’s name was apparently Alla, although it’s possible she gave us a fake name because we asked her after she had kicked us out into the street.

I really enjoyed my stayed at Tralala ! The location of the hostel is close to the main square (making it easy to access transport for tours). The dorms are very clean and nice ! The larger dorm is next to the road so there is some traffic noise when sleeping (unavoidable).

The hostel is really well located, close to everything. Friendly staff but lacks atmosphere. We were bitten during the nights and it strongly looks like bedbug bites (in the 2x bed room)

The hostel is in a fabulous location! We were able to walk everywhere in town since it is only one block from the plaza, yet it was very peaceful. The common area courtyard is extraordinary, and the staff was responsive by WhatsApp and arranged an airport ride for us. However, our bathroom had an annoying leak in the shower, which resulted in water all over the floor of the bathroom, no matter how careful we were to close the shower door before turning on the water. When I informed them about it, they didn't even come to look at it or attempt to fix it, offer us a discount, or offer to move us to another room. That was disappointing.

$18 seemed like an amazing price for a windowless single is a good price for this location close to the square. however, there’s a musty smell and there are bugs over the sink when i use it to brush my teeth this morning, which makes me scared if the same bugs were in my bed last night 😰. i told the receptionist and i really hope they fix this issue. Answer to owner response: there should be no quantity of ants or insects like this even if they are harmless. Please spray some bug spray on the room

i had a very nice room, but they scammed me on arrival: the airport transfer the hostel arranged for me brought me to 4pm coffee finca tour. The taxi driver proposed to wait for me asking quite a high price. i contacted the hotel and they told me its reasonable, willey jeeps stop going at 4pm (not true, the jeeps go until 6pm) and they would need to order me transfer so that i dont have to walk to salento - hence i took expensive taxi instead of jeep back. They would also not tell me any information about the driver (contac number or license plate) until he met me, although i repeatedly asked.

Excellent hostel in Salento! We arrived here super late on our first night and Erica was so helpful and kind. This hostel has comfy beds, kitchen facilities and extremely helpful staff (which is always appreciated when travelling). This is also a perfect place to wash your clothes, they drop them back to your room within a few hours. Only thing to note is that the showers aren’t the best, not very powerful, it’s probably worth changing the shower heads to increase the water pressure.
